from all the years of CNY, I've always had yusheng before meals. be it different restaurants, family gatherings, friends gatherings.. always BEFORE meals
Always before leh, idk never noticed the before/after part.
My experience is its always before, always the first thing everyone do before having main dinner. Never heard of people eating after before! (must be a Gen Z thing). If i'm not wrong in restaurants, it comes first as an appetizer as well, not a dessert.

@@overkillsingapore Every family different tradition bah, no right or wrong. The only times I had Yusheng after dinner is to wait for friends or relatives who say they will be arriving late and we don't want them to miss out.
