  • Had a great virtual shadowing session with the crew ‪@dentalshadowers3644‬ .
    We went over everything from:
    1. Is being a dentist worth it?
    2. Is orthodontics a dying field?
    3. How can I pay for dental school?
    4. How to get into dental school.
Thank you to the team at Dental Shadowers for asking me to present and I hope this helps some of you realize your dream of becoming an orthodontist or dentist.

I'm an incoming freshman majoring in Speech Pathology on the Pre-dental track! This video is so helpful for me, I appreciate all the content you put out for aspiring dentists!

Hi I have been watching your videos for a while. Appreciate the content. I am a 3rd year dental student from Trinidad and Tobago at the University of the West Indies. My program is recognized by the American Dental Association. I have a similar story to yours because I initially didn’t get accepted into my dental school. But I was able to get into another one and transfer to the one I am presently in.I would like to go to USC to do a certificate in orthodontics. It’s my dream school. Could you give me some direction and advice on how me as a foreign dentist should apply, things to look out for at the school, any programs and grants for minority or foreign trained dentist as well as the USC selection process and what they look for. Love the videos, keep up the good work!

Hi Dr. Nate, I'm currently a junior in high school and I really want to become an orthodontist. My grades currently are decent but most likely not good enough to get into a top college like UCLA or USC or etc. for my undergrad. Does the college I go to for undergrad matter as long as I get good grades in college?

I think it matters a little but if you get great grades at a less well known school you should still be good.
