They still have their own look and style….just because they are both all women rock bands doesn’t mean they copied them. L7 is also more punk than the runaways which isn’t really punk, but Joan Jett definitely has connections to punk rock.

Warrant was playing there and Jani accidentally spilled his drink all over my mom as he walked by her table. It was very dark in there. He was sooo apologetic, he kept saying sorry to my mom, but she smiled and assured him it was alright. Jani was a very kind-hearted man and insisted on buying some new drinks for my mom and her friends. She and Jani talked for a good half hour and she said he was the most loving, friendly, sweet, caring, good-natured man. Hammerjacks was indeed the coolest music club around! 🎶🎸🤘
Serial Mom introduced me to Kathleen Turner, Sam Waterson (before Law & Order), Ricki Lake, Matthew Lilliard (before Without A Paddle), and the band L7. I did learn about the tampon incident in one of L7’s concerts.
