Creating "Quick Cross Sections" in AutoCAD Civil 3D

In this (4 min) video, I show how you can perform some quick surface analysis in Civil 3D using the AECCCREATEQUICKCROSSSECTIONS command. In short, this is a non-destructive form of analysis in that when the command is complete all geometry generated by the command is removed. (Very similar in concept to the Quick Profile command)

That's really good, how can slopes be added to cross sections created from a single surface where there is no corridor?

When you save CIVIL 3D DWG file quick section / profile view disappear. Don't save CIVIL 3D dwg file and use _EXPORTC3DDRAWING command. Then open the "flat" exported DWG, copy and paste the section/profile view into CIVIL 3D DWG file. Now save CIVIL 3D DWG file.
