That's an awesome profile Yogeshwar! You can definitely be positive about this university. However, I would say that you can even target better ones with this profile. Not really sure about the scholarships though, they are pretty unpredictable! Good luck with your applications anyway!👍
Don't worry, it could happen. Might have been for the best. Just make sure if there's any thing that's itching in your SOP. Try to mend it to the best way possible. If possible, get in touch with some of your college professor and ask them if they could help you out curating the SOP. Perhaps that's your pain point! Just make a few changes after getting it reviewed by someone "relevant" and see if that helps.
Hi Sir,these is most confusing curriculum ,got cleared and unfortunately no coursework for Datascience (: , so am aiming for other universities , glad u covered them in the past :). one question for u , unfortunately my IELTS slots are not available until Feb 5th but my deadlines are Jan 15th and Jan 30th....will it be fine to apply to the Universities to hold admission as conditional admit ?? Having 82% in BTech from CSE with 3.5 year's of professional experience as Full-stack developer with Devops & AWS with clients Anthem,Fintech-product, L&T.. .also I did Full-stack Datascience courses from India..so can I apply still without IELTS sir for conditional admit ??
Hi Vasudeva! Glad we could help! To your question, you can apply to universities without the ELP score, but make sure when you appear for IELTS, give these universities to IELTS to report your scores. They generally report your scores for free to 4-5 universities. Once you complete the test it'll reach to the respective university and will be mapped to your application. So having a conditional offer is totally fine! Hope this helps...

Hi, in the tuition estimation section, you have mentioned that the fees is around $10k for first year, but the estimator says its for fall term (Sept-Dec). Since the course is for 2 years.. isn't the tuition fee calculated for a period of 4 terms?
Hi. Yes, indeed the estimator states "Fall Term (Sept-Dec)" but it is an indication of the tuition fee rate applicable in that time period. You see the tuition rate changes every year and are referred to as tuition fee for Fall 2021 or Fall 2022. For example, you would say that the tuition fee increased 10% in Fall 2022 from Fall 2021 (just an example for explanation). If you notice the the other dropdown "year of study", you see only 2 options for 2 different years on this program. Right now, the fees is same for both the years and thus is doubled at the current rate (Fall 2021 tuition fee as per the video). Hopes this clears out the doubt. Let us know in case of any other doubts.
@@knowledgeoverflow6012 Thanks for clearing the doubt.. so just to be sure how would you calculate the total cost of the program (2yrs) if the tuition rate remains at a constant $10k for sept -dec?
The fee shown is for the complete year starting Fall 2021. So, in most cases, you'll pay 2*10k. Some universities do change the tuition fee for existing students but roughly you can expect to pay nearly the same amount as the previous year. So, for estimation you can expect your 2 years' tuition fees to be between 20k to 23k. This 3k bracket is taken just in case the university changes your tuition fee rate the next year. In any case, it won't be more than 3k of an increment.
Hey! This is a research-based course so definitely you'll be having a supervisor for your thesis. So you'll be required to share the names while filling up the application. Also, it would be a great plus for your application if you are already in touch with the professor. It will always be an added advantage. But make sure you don't follow the professor bluntly, start out by inviting him/her to read your research etc. Hope this helps.
Hey Uvesh! As per my understanding, you should be eligible because you have a B.Tech degree, which in most cases, is the standard acceptable degree from India. Also, you have a great IELTS score, so you should be fine! Good luck!👍
Hi! That's a really good question! In these cases, generally, your work permit duration is decided on the time of your graduate studies i.e. it is matched with the duration of your course. Earlier, it was like if you have a course lesser than or equal to 1 year, your PGWP would be 1 year and more than that would have given you 3 years PGWP. But these days, the prior approach is generally adopted.
Hi.. I have completed mechanical Engineering with 8 cgpa (no back log). Currently working in Infosys(developer) for an year now. Have completed 4 Azure certifications includes AI 900, DP100, AZ900 , AZ500 .. one being a Azure certified Data Science Associate .. Is it possible to get into this course with B.E in mech and exp in CS?
Hi, that's an excellent profile, Jothi! Yes, you can apply to the courses if you have completed the prior courses that are asked by the respective school. Even if you lack 1 or 2 prerequisite courses, you should definitely apply because most of the universities these days are flexible with the requirement and you can always complete those courses before the start of your program through the respective university's support. All the best 👍
Hi sir I have 74.5 percent in Btech Three years experience in MNC Ilets band 7.5 Can I apply of Master in computer science in Carleton University But I have not get experience letter because I resigned before few days Sir please Can you guid me regarding apply for admission
Hi Paramjeet! That seems to be a good profile. As for your experience letter dilemma, most universities don't ask for an experience letter. Though you still might be asked for an official document proving you worked at that company but that isn't a concern, that's for a later stage and you can show your salary slips or can ask the company to provide a letter then. But for application it won't be required and you can definitely apply to Carleton or perhaps any other university as well except, unfortunately, for those whose requirement is 75%. Let us know if you need further assistance. Good luck for your application!✌️
Hi sir, Thank you so much for the reply. Is there any possibility that I can still apply for Jan 2023 intake for Masters in Computer science in University of Carleton.?
Sorry Paramjeet, this course is only open for Fall intake for now. So, you won't find any option to apply for Jan '23 intake. For tentative fall application dates, you can refer to the video and prepare your application in advance and apply for Fall '23 intake.
My profile:
GPA: 8.47
Paper published: 1
Internships: 3 total(1 research internship)
IELTS: 7.5
What should I be expecting?

Hi, some courses says it can be done from 1 year to 4 years. So how will the work permit be decided

So basically if we take 16 months in doing the course which can also be done in 12 months, then our work permit will be 3 years instead of 1?
