Only a handful of them are tough minded and will take any criticism or correction maturely.
The way he accepted Pop's coaching says a lot about his character. No wonder Tony became an all time great PG.
There is absolutely no question why he is going to be inducted in the Hall of Fame.
Best PG finisher I've ever seen. He could get by and around anyone, and finish by, around or over anyone. Quite the spectacle to see.

I believe Tim Duncan is the Larry Bird of his era when it comes to trash talk, I believe that he thought so highly of himself, rightfully so, so he didn't trash talk many NBA players, but I believe his trash talk was against those he liked, he couldn't stop trash talking TP :) there isn't a thing about the Spurs that doesn't lool great and likeable
Larry Bird was the biggest shit talker to ever play but backed it up lol. MJ himself said that he got his mentality and trash talk from Bird.
Least favorite Spur among the Big 3, but his impact and contributions to the franchise can never be overlooked.
Arguably, he was the first recipient or byproduct of the team's now-world class player development.
I wonder if TP and Bones are crossing paths and seeing eye-to-eye or have buried the hatchet after that "2010 incident". He was the most vocal during the fiasco brought by "Judas#2" and his family, and might cost him signing with Charlotte and thus not playing in San Antonio throughout his career. His departure and the trade of "Judas#2" might pushed Manu Ginóbili to retire for good even though he can still play for at least one more year (or another considering Spurs' influential load management).
Glad he took these issues as a man and stayed in San Antonio.
At the time of this posting, former Spur Derrick White made a season-saving and historic buzzer beater shot for the Celtics.
Most people knows how the Spurs did a Houdini by getting the number one pick in 1997 despite Boston having 2 or 3 lottery balls. Spurs only had one, and was good enough to get Timmy.
Four years later (2001), the Celtics had the 21st pick initially intended to get Tony Parker. Celtics patriarch Red Auerbach suggested to get Joseph Forte the last minute. The next teams seemed they didn't know Parker.
San Antonio benefited from the Celtics twice. And as sort of a "thank you gift", the Spurs traded White to Boston.
I guess call it as cushion or compensation for the Celts' losses in 1997 and 2001.
Fast forward today, I feel Tony Parker will play a critical role for Victor Wembanyama's (2023 Draft spoiler) transition to the team.
And hopefully, how to be a Spur for life.
