Many do. Actually I’d say most if not all are really nice to people. They have a specific route to go on. Sometimes around 400-800 packages day going to 200 houses? Probably more. They learn and form friendships on the route. Not close but enough to strike up conversation either out walking from house to house or when delivering deliveries. I worked at UPS for a few years. They are very nice guys and girls. They’re people too and have families as well

True. Working for UPS is not easy. Longs hours, heavy material and not to mention they have strict schedules. So it’s literally time management all the way. Pay and benefits are great but you literally work for them. It’s great to see a UPS employee take just a couple minutes to go above and beyond. You definitely don’t see employees taking the initiative anymore.

It is part of our job. We are instructed and trained to make deliveries out of sight and out of weather. I drove package car for 15 years. He was just following procedures.
Those drivers do all kinds of things and go out of their way to help people all the time. I worked as a UPS holiday helper and we had a trampoline to deliver a couple days before Christmas. Trampolines come in three boxes and the boxes are huge and awkward to lift and move. The UPS driver had us deliver everything to the back of the house so the kids wouldn’t see their Christmas present. Those big boxes were so heavy and the back of the house was far to walk all the way around and carrying that was awkward but we did it just so kids would be surprised. ⭐️
Also UPS drivers can’t drive up on people’s driveways - no matter how long the driveway is and no matter how far it is to the house - so we had to carry the trampoline boxes from the ROAD, up the longest driveway ever and all around the back of the house. Those drivers put in WORK.⭐️⭐️
When you're okay with sacrificing self-respect to work ridiculous hours in deplorable conditions being underpaid for a company that would replace you the day after you died from heat exhaustion in one of those trucks.

My distributor had to pay to reorder the product and had it delivered by USPS instead! Much safer, better and cheaper! They may not have even sent back the product to the factory! Probably "Dumb as a Post" & evil, too!
