That turtle tribal deck is 10/10 on fun factor. Reminds me a little bit of my Oko+polymorphist's jest Oathbreaker deck, where the deck's entire goal is to turn its own permanents into 3/3 elks, buff them to high hell, and win by trampling people with a bunch of elks.
Urza's incubator recuces every Eldrazi by 2 not just the owner's, so Turtleshell Changeling costs 2 less mana because it is an Eldrazi also 😊. This also applies to the other Changeling that was played by Megan
Yep, we figured this out after the game, but there was really nothing we could do. The symmetrical/non-symmetrical tribal cards for tribes are kind of a pain to remember.
-edit. I was wrong, only one attacked. Leaving comment incase anyone else thinks the same. 13:25 Rob should have taken 8, instead of 4. The vampire played that turn gives other vampires +2 atk.
4 was correct she attacked with one 2/2 vampire that got +2/+1 by the nocturnus so it was a 4/3. The nocturnus itself had summoning sickness and the third one didn't untap so couldn't attack either
Really awesome episode! I'm new to Oathbreaker. Are there limits to the signature spell? I see that it's limited to instant/ sorcery speed but how often (once per turn/ once per round at the table) can you cast it? I'm not sure how I feel about the signature spell being a "destroy" spell though... Does that seem like it's broken? Thanks GLHF for an awesome show!
It just needs to be in your Oathbreaker’s color identity. You can cast it as often as you want as long as your Oathbreaker is in play! But each time you do, it costs 2 generic mana more to cast.
I believe command tax is not considered a "mana cost" (even though it's paying mana in this case), but an additional cost. The spell only lets you skip the mana cost (as printed on the card itself), not any additional costs.
If a spell lets you cast it without paying it's mana cost you still need to pay an tax effects like commander tax, or 1 more mana if there is a thalia in play, or 3 mana if there is a trinisphere in play.
I've only seen 2 of your Oathbreaker games, but they both played out the same way. Maria gets an early lead and refuses to attack Meghan until Meghan's blue engine becomes so powered up that anyone trying to take her out doesn't stand a chance. It's pretty uninteresting and at times frustrating. Maybe try passing your deck to the right to see if different personalities have different effects on the deck preformance
You've only seen 2 because there have only been 2 ever made! 2 is a very small sample size. Episode 3 is coming at the end of the month. And believe you me, you do not want to make an enemy of Meghan in multiplayer games. But perhaps a change-up in strategy is coming...
@@glhfmagic sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant I haven't seen your other content I might have just happened to see 2 games that went the same way. But I hope episode 3 has some cool surprises.

Thankfully it had zero impact on the game ❤️
This yet again is absolutely epic. Definitely glad this format was given a chance on this show🎉🎉🎉.
Thank you so much frand!
I Can't wait. Just got into Oathbreaker and it's hard to find good content.

@@wer227 Oh, you are correct. Well spotted. I've edited the comment. :)
Love these and never knew turtle tribe was a thing
any creature type can be tribal if you try hard enough!
There aren't any turtle lords. I just put a bunch of turtles I like in a deck with some cards that make them better, and it was pretty fun!
The dogs in elden ring that were massacred have come back with a vengeance as dragons😂

We
i was excited now i have to wait three days
Off to Token Art School the lot of you. Great game, very exciting and most fun.
Great game guys.
Some bad threat assessment, but a good game regardless
I am confusing taxing/reduction effects but wouldn't as long as Sivitri is out wouldn't the spell always be free regardless of "command tax"
I believe command tax is not considered a "mana cost" (even though it's paying mana in this case), but an additional cost. The spell only lets you skip the mana cost (as printed on the card itself), not any additional costs.

You always have to pay the additional cost from the "spell tax" so Deadly Rollick will cost 0, then 2, then 4 and so on.
turtle deck best deck!

Oathbreaker wasn't created by magikids, rather Weirdcards Charitable Club. Magikids is part of their programming
