    I love your journaling system! I used to take notes after every chapter but it wasn’t organized enough for me so I stopped after a few months. Themes and separate sections would certainly help with that problem. I would love to start again and follow your system. Thanks for sharing!

    Whoa... you are so in depth with your note taking! I love how clean and organized you’ve made everything, it seems so easy to find things and I know that takes lots of patience. Thanks for sharing these videos, you truly make me want to be a better Christian and to study the word!
    I’ve tried to do the commentary option of note taking, with thoughts every few verses. 👍🏼

    Thank you for sharing this!
    I am currently adapting it for use in my small margined Bibles.
    It looks like it will prove far more adaptable and flexible than a wide margin bible would.

    Thank you for sharing your study note system. Wow, such detail. I keyed on your study of the high places. Would like to hear your observation on high places and will be interested in reading your upcoming book.

      That’s still an ongoing study, but it’s a major theme in the Bible! I can’t wait to talk about what I’ve been studying

    Super inspiring that other people take their Bible study seriously. So many are just in and out like they are fulfilling an obligation instead of doing something they love. I’m guilty of it in some seasons and is more likely to happen during normal exegetical study. Theme hunting and connection development study will help the more seasoned believer stay hungry and focused.

    Thanks for sharing this amazing, organized system. My thoughts and notes are here on paper somewhere. It may be time to systemize to see what God is speaking more clearly.

    I love love love this system, may I ask how you decide how many pages a topic gets? I’m trying to set up my own, but that’s my one roadblock thus far

    • @AjHolloway121314
      @AjHolloway121314  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@trevorlane4792 that’s honestly the hardest part to determine. I limit my comments to each passage that I document into my journal so I don’t take up loads of room and assign about 10 pages to each miscellany. When I want to flesh out a passage then I’ll do that digitally on my iPad using Freeform. My miscellany journal serves as a place to house all the “M” passages per theme so I can quickly find them and then grab a passage that alludes to a theme and fully flesh it out digitally.
      I prefer to flesh a passage out digitally because I can erase and draw connections to other passages.

    Where do you get your themes? Like were you reading a felt ‘ this’ could go could further??
    I would like to go deeper in the word. Definitely and looking for a stronger understanding And stronger sermon.

    • @AjHolloway121314
      @AjHolloway121314  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My themes are things that I just notice in my Bible reading that repeat themselves over and over.
      Part of my study is going through the Bible so frequently that I pick up on repeated patterns. Once I notice a pattern I go through the Bible documenting those patterns and where they are found. I then write them into my journal and study each instance until I can teach/preach a cohesive theme from beginning to end of the scriptures.

    If only I took notes like that in bible college lol. I had untreated ADHD at the time though.
