  • Visiting this place felt like we were in Indonesia.
Sang Nila Utama Garden at The Fort Canning Park.
Named after the first king of Singapura (Singapore), this garden has Javanese features such as split gates and a symmetrical layout. A pool and garden that features different types of plants and fruit trees. The structure is a replica of Wringin Lawang at Trowulan in East Java, former capital of the Majapahit
The Pancur Larangan (Forbidden Spring) was the Javanese style bathing place for the ladies of the palace in the 14th century. It is similar to the Balinese bathing complex.
Sang Nila Utama was a prince from the Srivijaya older empire in Palembang Sumatra not Javanese nor Balinese. Bali and Singapore were once vassal of the Majapahit Empire. Something thinking facts.
