So happy you made this video, thank you. My First Reading Library looks perfect.
My youngest used Night Zookeeper when she was in 4th-7th grade. She loved it!
We started Nancy and Plum before Christmas but then finished it off in January. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it, and it’s a nostalgic read for me. My sister and I used to borrow it on cd from the library when we were kids. So many great suggestions in this video. ❤
The bird study with the girls and other SCM curriculum was my introduction to CM ❤ love it and I plan to do it again in a few years when the boys can enjoy it! Oooo need those parfait cups!!
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing
Would love to learn more about how you use the Spanish book. 😊
Love to know more about the art courses.
Remember the recorder lessons in elementary music class? Mine had my name on it. 💗 it as a kid.
We've been using the SCM birds guide this year too and have loved it as well. And I agree that it would work for older kids too. Thornton Burgess books are classics for a reason.
Yes! We read some of the Mother West Wind series before this and loved it so much!
As your boy ages out of Memoir 44 - Axis & Allies would be the next level up into adulthood.
My mom has recently found a love for watercolor painting and I was thinking about gifting her some things for Mother's Day. Do you have your favorite painting items on your Amazon link? Any other suggestions? I trust all of your suggestions 😊
Anyone else hear that super deep/low almost burping noise towards the end of the video?
If you are doing a bird series, get the John Muir Laws Bird Drawing book - it’s fantastic and will elevate a study for your older kids from color books to observation, body parts/names & drawing.
I’m so excited about this one, it’s already on my agenda for next year!
Great video! Can you explain how to keep sensory non items without getting all over and maybe your system. I have. 10 year old but also a 17 month and one in the way. My husband homeschools and we need something that won’t drive him nuts while schooling with my older son.
😊
Where did you find the allowance game? 34:02
I'm interested in teaching my kids about logical fallacies so The Fallacy Detective sounds interesting. I'm not worried about my older kids, but would you recommend it for a 7 year old?
Okay update. I mentioned it to my wife and I woke up this morning and found the book on my desk (I'll DM you a photo on Insta to prove it). First, awesome wife! Second, I already started and I'm stoked to work through it and then do it with my kids. Thanks for the recommendation!
Can you share the links for the bird and Spanish books? New to HS and I am not sure where I can find them
I linked the Simply Charlotte Mason bookstore in my description! They can both be found there.
Did I miss any videos where you talked about going to the Bahamas?! 😊
No, I don’t think I shared here on TH-cam 😊 just a family trip over New Years.
What is the name of the book you would recommend first for nature journaling. I did not hear you say the name of it. Thank you
Opens Amazon and Thrift Books in preparation… Presses Play… 😂
Sounds like me with many homeschool videos lol
Yes 😂
