One thing I noticed when I started learning is that I've become more self aware of all the art I used to consume. I used to just follow any and everyone that looked appealing. Now, I'm careful about who I follow. I follow with a purpose if that makes sense.
Hey there I have been watching ur vids since long and after I watched ur video on publication, I asked u about it and u said JUST PRACTICE AND GRIND COMPETITIONS. So I have been practicing the g pen (I am a traditional aspiring mangaka )and anatomy since then but as u said in this vid I also took a break after long daily practice streak and using ur knowledge , I will draw again
Man I also want to draw stuff like mangakars but currently I've my hands full of studying as I'm in 12th class. I can't manage both studying and learning to draw. I used to draw a lot before, but from 11th class I'm just studying and studying I don't even like to study. Your work is 'amazing-go' man...
This is honestly some of the best advice anyone just getting started can hear. Something i struggling with is running out of energy when drawing, like i reach points when i feel like i physically cant do what im seeing in my head. Do you have any advice?
And the fundamentals are; Anatomy, basic shapes, proportions, compositions, perspective, shade & light,colors,and.... what else? really tho pls tell me what else?
The fundamentals are anatomy, perspective, form and structure, lighting and shadow, color, and composition, but really it depends on what you want to draw. Example, if you ONLY want to draw manga, then maybe coloring isnt too important to focus on in the beginning (ofcourse you'd still want to learn it at some point!) And when drawing manga, you can add a few extra fundamentals: Story telling, panelling, panel flow, character and environment design and writing, etc. etc..... To go about this, I would recommend looking at artwork/stories/manga/anime/etc. you really like and think to yourself: "What makes this good?". Take notes and apply them to your own work. This will also up your observation skill which is useful in any art scenario.
@@livsis Thank you so much 😭 when I look at drawing manga tutorials on yt almost all of them never mentioning about the writing skill. I understand some of them are just focus on the illustrations and have the other person to do the story writing

actually i choosed arts in school to remain consistent but they are focusing on objects and mostly painting . what i want to improve in is digital art and animation . is it worth giving attention to school arts classes ? 11th grade btw
I want to become a mangaka, but im not good at drawing, jm still learning how to draw. The thing is what are the fundamentals of art should i learn to make my own manga?
Hi wsp i was seing ur chanell for a while and bakuman was my motivation to draw but im bad at everything i dont know what to draw and i think that art is not for me 😅
Art is for anyone, someone might need more or less energy and time but it really doesn't require more than studying and improving. If you truly feel like you want to, then do what you can and follow advices. I draw for many years but I'm still improving. Start whenver you feel like it and when you do know and feel what to draw. You can start by references, it's a good way of improving.

Hi! Quick question: What are "the fundamentals" for Art?

It depends on your art school but you can learn art without school easily
