If it played on KROQ during the late 90s. I can almost guarantee that I've heard it. This song and a few others were in high rotation and are among some of my favorites
Godsmack needs more love from the reactors, so was happy to see your reaction!!! I really enjoyed your reaction also - impressed you clocked The Scorpion King right off the cuff. Check out Awake, Voodoo, Scars (this song launched a non-profit foundation called SCARS to help raise awareness of mental health issues), Unforgettable (The band goes into a school to teach music to students - really cool) and the 'Drum Battle'. The Drum Battle won't disappoint - basically Sully Erna (Lead Singer) also plays guitar & drums, so part of their touring show was a battle between him and drummer Shannon Larkin.
I’m a Bostonian so I’m def biased to godsmack but the song/video for unforgettable is possibly one of the best things I’ve seen in my 45yrs, again, biased, but there’s not much more out there that screams “inspiration” than this song and what they do for the students of NY, CT, NH, and their hometown area of MA is truly incredible. Whether you react or no, you seriously need to watch that one…….then watch and react to sully erna drum battle…..that one will get you views on views on views including me haha😅
Thank you so so much for making it where we can actually see the video. I like what you're doing, I like the reactions, and this just makes me like it even more.
When it comes to the scream, it is called a vocal frye and their are two ways to do it. IIRC; When you use your false-chords there is more distortion in the sound, when you don't use the false chords it has a much higher pitch. More commonly known as a scream vs growl. Check out the songs "Voodoo" and "Go Away".
Options: AC/DC - Thundersruck Guns n Roses - November Rain Led Zeppelin- Immigrant Song Metallica - Enter Sandman Alice In Chains - Rooster Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion Derek and the Dominos-Layla Foo Fighters - Walk Rush - Limelight, Red Barcehetta, Spirit of the Radio Van Halen, featuring Eddie Van Halen - Eruption
You need to check out their song .. Cryin' like a bitch .. It's a diss track to Motley Crue (an older band from the 80'-90's they were on tour with . ) One of the Crue guys was out of line and running his mouth so Sully(lead singer for Godsmack ) knocked the Crue guy out cold . The Crue guy went cryng to the tour promoter about it and Godsmack left the tour or got booted . Anyway this song has been used by UFC fighters as their entrance/hype music for the fight . You'll like it .
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing (Alchemy Live) Do yourself a favor. It's a little different than what you've been checking out so far but it will not disappoint. Edit: spelling.
Malediction by Shadow of Intent, the band goes crazy on this one, I know you aren't too familiar with this type of metal yet so I wouldn't expect you to love it but getting to know their instrumental skills as you listen to it more & more is awesome!
Just remember I told u first!! Lol...love your reactions!! Please to the acoustic album..I think it's like 40 min. Total but u gotta hear it and people will love to watch u listen to it!
The Scorpion King was a pretty big deal when it came out. The Rock has just gotten into acting. One of the first wrestlers to have good success breaking into Hollywood leaving WWE. This song complimented the movie and was the song used in the ending credits. Fit well since Godsmack had a tribalistic sound in their music.
If you are a rap fan who is starting to like rock you should listen to beastie boys, early Insane Clown Posse, early Kid Rock, Cypress Hill. All groups/artist from the 90s i guess. Haha.
I just subscribed to your channel I love your Reactions Godsmack is awesome , Can you Please Please Please play Tears for Fears - Sowing the seeds of love video Please Man I would truly appreciate it Thanks for the love ❤️
