@@joaobennington Es falso definitivamente, esas lineas de colores no se dan en la naturaleza por el simple hecho de que son por cría selectiva para que un betta sea rojo debe de tener padres rojos y abuelos y bisabuelos rojos, dígase que los bettas no eligen parejas por color y ningún color se mantendria puro en la vida salvaje.

Why do I feel like he just threw a bunch of Bettas in there and then caught them . Because they seem like genetically aquarium bred bettas more so than wild bettas . Wild bettas aren't so bright colored and fins are smaller . Some of them seem very bright and big finned but I could be totally wrong .I do see wild ones in there 👀 Either way very cool video!!

I'm Japanese and in some southern city of my country, guppies are getting wildness in local rivers. they remain colorfulness even in wild circumstances, Bettas in this movie reminded me of that.
They are not fighting because they are stressed and in a new environment. Trust me they wil fight if settled and 'one on one'. Did this when I had Plakat type Bettas about 25 years ago some go over 2 hours. Even trying to drown each other by going for a 'lip hold' and pulling them down to the bottom of the tank. (Bettas need to breath also from the surface). They have 'tactics' some go for the fins, some for the gils or the body. Had a smart little fecker once that was an all rounder gave it the name "Teruhiko Kobayashi" (after the WW2 Japanese pilot) won 12, not losing once, going over the 2 hour mark. Those fish that were defeated in combat (giving up the fight by swimming away) will still remember who they lost to after 3 months (!!!)by not engaging and swimming away but when put with another fish they will start to fight...... BTW they heal quickly after a fight...... Now I'm an old man won't even kill a spider.....
There all male and female. The reason why they all don't fight is because its a new territory and no betta fish has claimed it. If a male betta fish lives in that bowl for a while, he will recognize that he lives there. So he will fight for it. Lol I hope you have a good day And i hope you understand 😁
I just learned that fish like bettas or golden fish dont breath water, they breath most air and a part in water, so when they are put in a plastic bag, vendors let a big air space in the bag so the fish wouldnt suffocate. Most bettas in those bags will probably sie before getting bought
They do the same with all tropical fish. The bettas that make it thru shipping to the USA are gonna be stuck in small containers in the pet shops till their purchased. I feel so sad for them. All the others that survive the trip get put in tanks till their sold. 😢 I had fish long ago, but learned the sad truth of the business. I realize this is one of the few ways some ppl can make money. Sad all around.

In the wild there aren't any veil tail bettas only mahachai which is the real wild ones and wild bettas are not very colorful so they blend in with the habitat

Some of the bettas breeder actualy do this , they put betta fish in pond with a lot of lily plant cause they breed faster, so this is real
