I've attended hackathons, only one where we got 1st place, now that I am an experienced developer and mentor to others, I realized that it was not all about the price but the networks I've built during those hackathons, now I have a strong circle of developers I can reach out to whenever I need to inspire a new developer or just for business purposes.
