I am SO glad that you are preserving Mors' wisdom & know-how as well as making him available to new viewers. I took a course with Mors in the '90s, which changed everything I knew about the wilderness, and I still have several of his booklets. To this day, every time I pass a birch tree, my mind starts racing about how to harvest it!
Well wasn't that a great revisit?!?! I don't think any of us here could get tired of seeing our beloved Mors. What a character. He brought so many of us together; and probably saved an untold number of lives with his knowledge and talents. RIP Brother ~ God Bless You!

I could watch him work all b day. He reminds me so much of a "grandpa" I had later in life. I've learned so much from him too. I really think we made a mistake by not teaching more like this in schools than sitting around while the teacher tries to teach the stupid, yells or grades papers
This was really enjoyable to watch this great man, Mors is truly missed and technology keeps great content like this for those of us learning about woods craft. Thank you for sharing a master at work.
The first time I ever watched this video was to see how the grand master of Canadian bushcraft made bannock. Now I watch it to see him make that awesome fire over and over 🔥 🤣
One of my favorites. I've watched it a hundred times, I bet. I make bannock with half oats and half "just add water" pancake mix, though. Try it. You'll love it. A gallon ziplock of that mix will feed you for many days with fish and game mixed in.

I make it the same way and add ground flax seed. It's delicious...and filling.

I wish Birch grew down here in Southeast Texas. I could use some for carving. Can anyone suggest a wood that's common here that's comparable to Birch?
Basswood is great for carving. It's fairly common in the East.
