- Meet Devin C Millett from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He shared with us the journey of building his 1997 XLH 1200 custom Hardtail Sportster chopper. He took it from stock purple-and-chrome to a striking one-off machine. Devin talks us through the meticulous process - stripping it down, sandblasting, chopping the frame, and installing the Throttle Addiction Deluxe Sportster hardtail kit. The result? A sleek black-coated frame adorned with carefully assembled parts, beautifully balanced between show style and custom chopper craftsmanship. Hear his review of the Throttle Addiction deluxe Sportster hardtail kit and check out his chopper build.

We all did this back in the 70s, my buddy built his sportster chopper in his apartment 7th floor and we couldn’t get it down, wouldn’t fit in the elevator and the stairs were too sharp, he ended up taking the wheels off and front forks to fit it in the elevator
Laughed so hard when he said rabbit ears were sketch city. 🤣🤣🤣
Memories! I partially built my first chopper in my bedroom. That was in the 1960s. That is one bruisin' EVO Sportster! You ran a front brake (always a good idea). The forks are the right length. The stance is groovy. The flex piped and upswept headers, along with the slash-cut cigar shorty mufflers on the exhaust system is right and tight. The paint is boss! I love the riser/bar combo! Thanks Devin C. Millett and Throttle Addiction! Ride safe! Oh yeah, tell 'em The Eazy Company sent'cha!
red loctite and a self tapping screw… legend
that is a beautiful old school chop, one helluva job.
Great build, Devin!! You did an AWESOME job!! I get why you changed the handlebars from Rabbit Ears to apehangers: apes have a lot more leverage for maneuvering your bike around in tight places. Plus, they have a timeless look to them. I've had apehangers on all my bikes since 1974.
I built a 57 xl ironhead in the living room over fifty years ago! You got my vote fella, love it! But the bike I'm sitting on is a 49 panhead built after the Sportster, exactly 50 years ago
Knees high stance is always sick!
Shoot I built my chop in my bedroom, that's where I thought everyone did lol. Rigid Evo big twin, gotta say I love my Blockhead. Devin put together a purty ride

Very cool guy, cool build. 👊 I may or may not go 6 over on my 1200 mild chop build... but I like those risers a lot.

Harley-Davidson needs to reintroduce the EVO Sportster -- Air/oil cooled, 1500 ccs, counterbalanced (?) and a six-speed gearbox. Yeah, I'm dreaming.
Yessassssas!!!!!! Preach!!
@@MARIOCARRILLO13 Go tell it on the mountain! Bring back the EVO Sporty - the most-reliable, most versatile and grooviest Sportster in H-D history! Put some chopper-oriented people in charge of R&D at H-D! Bring domestic motorcycle manufacturing jobs back to America!

I became bored and stopped watching the moment he used "boomer" as a derogative.
