Talk about 100 percent information with no B.S, no yelling no promotions, no watermelons, I dont know it was kinda shocking! But really very well done and Im glad I'm getting an Fx. But both brands better hope the Chi Coms dont start making FX knock offs because by the looks of the parts and machining required (minus the R&D which would be copied) the Chinese could surely make one for around 300 bucks maybe less.
Good comparison. Another factor is durability. From some other reviews I have seen on the Priest, it seems to be a rifle that you don't have to worry about damaging with some abuse. It can take a licking and keep on ticking.
I thank you for this video because I have been up in the air about these guns for a while. The Priest 2 pro has 2 gauges and has refining over the original Priest that I believe you have. The Impact has a strong following but like you said it is also 2X as much plus it’s a bugger to tune, has way to many parts and leak issues. I want a gun to shoot and when needed, easy to tune like my LCS SK-19, which basically is just one knob and a chronograph and 30 seconds and done. It just doesn’t have a match trigger which is impossible on a full auto/ semi automatic rifle. You sir have good taste in airguns and I wish you the best. Thanks and enjoy your investments.
My impact m3 is solid and no reliability issues. And it shoots like a laser…. And it is NOT complicated. Rebuild a 4l60e transmission and you’ll see what complicated is. The impact can be broken down and rebuilt within a hour. And the adjustability gives you the ability to dial in a given caliber and weight unlike any other gun on the market. Don’t let those who either can’t afford nor those who can barely cook themselves dinner tell you they are complicated and unreliable. They speak from jealousy, not from facts
Thank you for sharing your rifles with us, was a privilege to watch, I'm looking at both these rifles and have not decided yet, but as usual, another rifle has caught my eye, just like women do! The Brocock GHOST is an amalgamation of both these rifles, but thanks for an unbiased opinion/review, all the best from London.
Both rifles seem pretty nice little looking, but that strange sound when firing is kinda weird, and accuracy of the priest, I'm sure after a harmonic tune, and finding the absolute best pellet/slug for it, it would be a winner... As for the FX IMPACT, they are simply fantabulous airguns that deliver out to extremely long ranges... As you have said, depending on your economy, you can get the most suitable. But heck, you only live once, I know which I would go for, even if I had to eat rice for a while lol!! Nice video, thanks! :-)
Great information, both great rifles . That impact is a leaker, I've known more than a few people who have had a hard time with them. I'm right handed, I shoot airguns all the time, and I don't know why anyone wants the bolt on the right.
Unfortunately this review is a bit of bad timing as a new version of the Priest was released a week or so ago. From Gregors' TH-cam review it appears that hammer bounce problem has been resolved and a new improved trigger. Also there is an externally adjustable regulator available (50-200 bar) and a new "long range" 22 barrel designed for heavy pellets (not bullets).
I'd rather see these in the same caliber either 30 or 22 or even 25, small point to be sure, but power and accuracy mean more to me than some of the comfort items reviewed here. . Still.... nicely detailed review. :-)
Priest looks like a home made airgun compared to impact. You can see where the money goes on the impact. Groups are not what they should be, maybe try different pellets. Great video.
Seems like items that come standard on the Impact you have to buy as upgrades on the Priest for example the Carbon Fiber tank , the cost of which is considerable. So if you add those costs to the base price of the Priest , why bother and just get the best to start with ? I’ll chose the FX thanks.
I think you have been watching too much TH-cam videos LOL !! I will put my $1000 BSA r10 up against a FX impact at 100 yards any day! I think you need to stop drinking the Kool Aid!! The FX is a good Airgun but leaks like shit and is over hyped to all hell! I also own a RAW at about the same price point as the FX and is a far more reliable gun and more accurate to boot!! Stop watching TH-cam videos and go out and shoot!!
You forgot to mention all the different barrels that can be fitted to the impact for slugs, different twist rates etc. Also that the RTI comes as standard with a fixed regulator but that you can have an adjustable reg with reg'd pressure gauge. The impact also has a much sturdier scope rail, albeit somewhat tall. The RTI rail overhang looks rather fragile..... Otherwise great video. Thankyou!
Jelle Van de Plas Interesting. I’m not at home just now otherwise I would send you a photograph as I don’t understand your meaning. I have a huge night-sight on top and it still fits.
Just map out what you want to fit in and cut the foam. An Atlas bipod will fit mounted, most of my accessories do. It´s just a matter of deciding what you need to have in the case and finding an empty spot in the foam.
My Impact has a 1lb 5oz trigger and my 1st stage alone is 11oz. The first stage can be tuned if you have the knowhow. I do like the priest but it looks like it still needs refinement. I am looking at the Brocock Commander as my next airgun.
The FX is most likely more expensive because of the tune-ability of the gun, (most tune-able airgun on the market today I think). Because of the external adjustment, (rare), for the shot regulator, (of which the Priest does not have), you can swap .177, .20, .22, .25 and .30, barrels, (talk about a .35 I guess), and tune the gun not only for the caliber, but what kind of pellet/slug you are using. You also adjust the hammer spring tension and some other adjuster that has to do with hammer rebound I think, (The little cylinder adjuster under your bottle neck, Most I have seen for .30 cal run it almost all the way out, 4 marks showing I think). You did a good vid IMO, (Thanks), but did not talk about all the adjustment that makes it a very versatile airgun. If you wanted to start a pesting business, I can't think of a better gun to use. From very low power for birds in a department store, to dropping Coyotes over 100 yards away. It gets a great shot count also, with hundreds of shots for the small calibers, and around 50 shots for the .30 cal. Dial it in with more shooting practice, and I bet you find quite a bit more accuracy and repeatability. It is expensive, but the FX adjust-ability, (and accuracy), is what I have been waiting for for my first PCP airgun. If you like to tinker with tuning to get the best possible performance you can find, (and not scared of learning how to do it), the FX Impact (and probably the crown too), would have to be a serious consideration.
Search the RTI prophet rifle on TH-cam before you buy it. this product is bad and many users around the world had accuracy issues due to the bad regulator and cocking issues where the cocking arm scratches the rifle's body badly. I emailed the manufacturer for support but never responded to my emails . in short, do not waste your money!
Greetings! Thank you for posting your video comparing the Priest vs Fx Impact. The sound of the Priest reminds me my Brocock Compatto after adding a regulator, of course has a Hugget moderator. Who knows maybe is the regulator that produce that sound after taking a shot. Thank you for posting your video and let us know about the Priest which is still interesting air gun but it may still some little mods to fullfill some of our expectations in the field and to be use in compettion.. I can see some future on it. Keep us posted and thank you.

It might help to file the pellet inlet hole on the magazine. I did this with one of my magazines and it works fine now.

The Priest 11:09 sounds like the hammer is bouncing dozens of time before stopping. Probably a lot of wasted air.

Fx seems plagued with quality control issues when i Google common issues you seem to tinker with yours have you noticed any problems?
The sound of a shot at the RTI indicates that there is a rebound of the drummer
