  • Ringing on this 1854 Taylor 5, set in a splendid building in a deeply rural location. The bells hang in a very interesting early cast iron frame by John Taylor & Son in 1855. The three heaviest bells hang in a H-frame, with the two lightest bells above in a separate A-frame. They were rehung by Mears in 1933, and have had various work done on them in 1983 and 1998. They are hard work but rewarding and sound especially good outside. Excerpt from a quarter peal followed by the lower - thanks to Toby for the interior camerawork :-)

      I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I think that church is not only superb, but also the best church.
