    Thanks. I can do my 20x20's by myself if I absolutely have to but you're clearly more energetic than me doing a 20x30. The roof would be too heavy for me. I find getting the centre pole in is the hardest part. As far as I know there's no automated way to do that. I felt like you had the jack too far out & I was worried it was going to fall on you. Keep up the great work.

      Not energetic, I had to do it myself, I was 2 guys down and the other guys were busy. Client was late with the line locate so I had to do this one after hours. I saw this as an opportunity to make a video that’s not out there. But I always regularly have at least 2 guys on a tent of and size (other than popups, I do popups by myself all the time).
      Once the stakes are in the tent jack it won’t tip. Or at least we haven’t been able to make it tip. The first side you Jack up can be close but the distance the second side takes up requires you to have the jack away from the tent more.

    I would like to see a video on how to safely remove center poles on a large high peak pole tent. Larger tents do have their challenges. I see a lot about setups, but nothing about tear downs after an event. I think a good video on that would be good, too. Love your channel.

    I definitely appreciate you taking time to educate us..... I have a question. Where did you get that hoist at to raise the tent with? Looks very handy..... or what do I type in to order myself one online?

      It’s a frame tent jack. Celina sells them. I got mine from Special Event Sales.

    Why did you use a tarp over the frame before pulling out the actual tent roof? Keep from damaging it?

    Awesome job!!! After you do the legs on the first side do you stake the feet to keep them in place before lifting or stake everything after?

    • @TariqElkhatib
      @TariqElkhatib 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Good question. We never do that because the whole tent tends to shift after all legs are up PLUS the customer sometimes wants it moved 2 inches to the right 😂

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree with Tariq. The only time that we pre stake a side is if the wind is becoming a problem during setup.

    How long did that take you to do it solo?

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      About an hour and a half. However placing the camera around at different angles took up a bit of time.

      And walls!
      If you have to do walls, it takes longer than the top itself!

    What’s in the orange bucket? Ratchet straps?

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I never go anywhere without a bucket.
      They are my ratchet and stake gathering devices and my stepping stool tool that makes me feel cool.
      But yes ratchets.
      Thank for watching Tariq. Much love ❤️

    How big of a trailer do you need for your high peak tents? I’m looking to buy a high peak tent next year w/ a trailer. Thanks!

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t get any thing smaller then a 12ft long trailer. Last year I had a 5x8 and it wasn’t enough.
