- Time in nature is vital for our good physical, mental, and emotional health. But when is too much of a good thing a bad thing? Natural places like preserves, parks, and wilderness areas need us as much as we need them to heal and prevent the injuries of overuse and carelessness. Applying the Leave No Trace Seven Principles is a great place to start!
Join us as we determine what overuse and abuse looks like in our regional natural spaces and what the impacts are on wildlife, rivers, and forests. Practicing Leave No Trace principles allow us to be better stewards of these beloved landscapes by instilling respect for the resource, each other, and the hundreds of non-human inhabitants who share the land with us.
Lancaster Conservancy’s efforts to provide Leave No Trace education to the community are made possible thanks to the generous support of the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority.
