      @CaminoAir ปีที่แล้ว +33

      I am in no way attempting to excuse what this man did (which is murder and what is even worse of his own child). What I will try to say is that a culture can condone acts that in another society are considered barbaric or unjustified. It is part of the mental and emotional conditioning that we all as humans share to some degree. The Western World is not immune from conditioned acceptance of certain attitudes towards humans, animals, or the natural world. It is a relative scale of what we consider indefensible, as opposed to what is objectively indefensible. Again, this is not an attempt at equivalency, but I am just pointing out that we as Westerners still hold onto beliefs that our societies condoned for too long.

      @fairopinyon8040 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      I completely agree that the act of murdering one's own child or someone they claim to love is pure evil. However, it is not entirely surprising given the violent and oppressive teachings within Islam.
      Islam condones and even encourages violence against those who do not follow its teachings or beliefs, including family members. There are numerous examples in Islamic scripture where it is permissible to kill one's own family member, especially if they convert away from Islam or are deemed to have brought shame to the family.
      The practice of honor killings is a perfect example of this, where women are murdered by their own family members for violating Islamic norms or shaming the family. This barbaric practice is not only prevalent in Muslim-majority countries but has also spread to the West.
      It is essential to understand that this type of behavior is not a result of a few bad actors but rather a symptom of the violent and oppressive nature of Islamic teachings. Until we acknowledge this and take steps to combat it, innocent lives will continue to be lost to this senseless violence.
      We should be committed to exposing the dark side of Islam and advocating for a world where individuals are free to live without fear of violence or oppression, including from those closest to them.

      @@xXKaizoHarinezumiXx I was a devoted Muslim until I learned the truth. I can talk forever about these topics, but let me address one of the claims I made. I'll include the references so you can see that I didn't make this up.
      Claim: There are violent and oppressive teachings within Islam.
      Qur'an and Hadith Incitement of Violence
      The Qur'an and Hadith, the foundational texts of Islam, contain verses and sayings that endorse and even mandate violence under certain circumstances. For instance, Quran 9:5, known as the "Verse of the Sword," states, "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them." Quran 47:4 justifies violence against non-Muslims, stating, "So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike their necks." The Hadith, which are collections of sayings and actions attributed to the Prophet Muhammad, provide additional support for violence. Sahih Muslim (41:6985) reports that the Prophet Muhammad said, "The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say: 'O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.'"
      Historical Examples Violence and Oppression
      Throughout history, we find instances where Islamic teachings have been used to justify violent actions and oppressive practices. The spread of Islam in the Arabian Peninsula during Muhammad's time involved numerous military campaigns, including the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud. These events demonstrate the use of force to establish and expand Islamic rule. The concept of jihad has been historically interpreted as a holy war against non-Muslims or a struggle to establish Islamic dominance. The violent actions of extremist groups, such as ISIS and al-Qaeda, who claim to follow these teachings, serve as a modern-day reminder of the potential consequences of these interpretations.
      Contemporary Examples Oppressive Practices
      In some Islamic-majority countries, oppressive practices are carried out in the name of religious beliefs. Women's rights are often curtailed, with restrictions on education, employment opportunities, and personal freedoms. In countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, strict interpretations of Sharia law have led to harsh punishments, including amputations, stoning, and public executions. Religious minorities and apostates often face persecution and violence due to discriminatory laws and societal attitudes influenced by certain interpretations of Islamic teachings.

Usually when you flee, you don't want your abuser to know where you are and what you are doing etc. Most middle eastern women are very cautious and scared cause we know men will freely murder women and get away with it in these countries. Its horrible that there are many comments even just under this video defending it. women need to be more distrusting and less naive unfortunately.
