Seeing that bit about the broken book of life is just sad to me. This game has been out for 8(?) years and everything they’ve released is still a buggy mess. The bestselling author aspiration is base game, you’d think it’d be the less buggy than all the packs
Love the video and poor poor Katrina. I feel you forgot the protection by evil chicken from cottage living. If you befriend them then when you die they will burn the reaper for you such helpful if temperamental creatures. I also think familiars from realm of magic can also protect in at least one kind of death ( spellcaster overload) though I am uncertain if it also includes others.
I tend to find pleading is 50/50 for me, but I think usually because I play legacy files and the sim is either a spouse or their child so it may be linked to relationships
I think it's always linked to relationships, but I don't fully understand how the system works (if it's just about the friendship and romance values or if marriage and family affects it as well).

I got pomegranate fast, second cycle. I never got orchid though, even 50 cycles later… At least not until Seasons. They it started not fully producing, but always giving me pomegranate, orchid, and death flower!

You missed one 100% way to defy the death. Firstly, you must summon Bonehilda. Sometimes she makes a strange drink (I forgot the name). When Reaper drinks it he'll revive the dying sim! Also you didn't mention about voodoo doll, but I understand this is not 100% way.
What they ment was the shadow realm drink which you can actually make yourself provided that you are level 10 mixology and have a death flower in your inventory
hey vivan u forgot one more if u sims have a lvl 5 mischeif and have a voodoo with the person that died u can do a special option idk what is called but if u press it the sims will look at it and when the grim reaper arrive he will revive the person instead
Vivian did you know that if a ghost sim throws a coin inside the wishing well and wishes for life there's a chance they'll get the death flower instead, so that there would be no need to follow all the recipe to make it?

I was always used to the Sims Freeplay version so I was shocked that your Sim could die on Sims 4. I couldn't get my Sims partner to plead with the Grim Reaper because he was too scared of him. I really hate this death feature about the Sims. I wish they would get rid of it!
you can also not die if you have a animal connected to your witch sim and if the animal sparkles it reviews the sim and it says "your animal saved you" idk what it exactly says because I play the game in German so I don't know what it says in English exactly

Oh, yes! It's not Potion of Youth, but it acts the same way, I think. It's probably called "Essence of Youth"/"Youthful Essence" or "Essence of Life" or something.
Maybe that's a bug that's appeared in the last few months. I haven't used ambrosia since I made the video, so I don't know though. Perhaps you have a mod that conflicts with that interaction, so try without mods. Maybe reset the ghost (use "testingcheats true" cheat, shift-click on the ghost, then reset) and see if it works after that. Good luck! 😊
Apparently, reviving magic does not work on ghost kids? There is no "magic" option when you click on them...Bro i spent so much time learning spells and for whaaat hahaha
Weird. Perhaps you have a mod installed that conflicts with the interaction? If not, then I just assume it's a bug that may or may not get fixed in the future, unfortunately. 😕
You could always get the death flower, or any of the ingredients from the debug menu in build mode by typing in: "bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.showliveeditobjects". It's much easier.

If you have the knitting pack you can knit a plush grim reaper and give them to grim and it works just like the death flower i believe!

To revive a sim just press exit game then exit then go back in it won't save so they will still be alive

Idk if im just lucky or smth but every time i have pleaded with the reaper, the sim survived. Like every. Single. Time.
If the sims have a good relationship, the pleading is very likely to work!

Why does ambrosia doesn't work on my ghost sims? The have the animation but doesn't convert back.
Maybe that's a bug that's appeared in the last few months. I haven't used ambrosia since I made the video, so I don't know though.
