Great tool and thanks for showing. My favorite is a VS Code Exensions called Database Client by Weijan Chen, you can run queries, but you can also have them in your repo and version control them, which is great and works with ALL the database and really easy to set it up. DBEngn sounds cool, but does not seem to possible to run multiple instances of Postgres or MySQL unless you are use different minor versions. I am not a huge Docker user, but I put a simple docker-compose inside my project and I have my alias set up with "dcu" and "dcd" and it's really easy to spin up as many instances of DB as you need. Thanks for the video!

Yeah, HeidiSQL is very nice for Windows. Much lighter to deal with than the horrible SQL Management Studio. I also prefer HeidiSQL over the new Azure Data Studio, which seems like a weird amalgamation of SQL Management Studio and VS Code.
Only issue I've had so far really, is that I've not figured out how to connect to databases in Azure using Azure Active Directory authentication. So after we moved all our databases to Azure, I'm forced to use the Azure Data Studio instead... *sigh*

Its a nice tool on mac, but coming from HeidiSQL on windows its lacking lots
    - its got terrible memory leaks and gets very very slow after running for a while
    - also does not do column truncation when viewing loading large fields in data viewer, so it can get very slow loading
    - hiding columns does not prevent them from being pulled in data viewer
    - on reconnection after a connection failure it sometimes executes the same query again
    - i think there were some issues in the table structure editor
Various other things that i just miss with HeidiSQL.
Good thing though is the added protection running destructive queries, ive got it to require my fingerprint just as a safety measure.

Phil Dunphy is loveable and a little bit goofy, which I'll take all day

if you put name of the software (TablePlus and DBngin) in the title of the video - people who look for information on those specific apps will be able to stumble across your channel.

@@PlanetScale Thanks, for some reason yt hadn't notified me of your answer. Yeah, Linux download hidden in small text (while main button suggests mac version), so I missed it. But there is further problem, they provide only Ubuntu, CentOS & Fedora packages, which aren't instalable on my openSUSE. No FlatPak version (what I'd prefer for proprietary 3rd party tool).
