However, even then, if we just look at the outcomes of all 5 slaps, zales always recoiled on every single one of vassily's slaps, although visibly less on the 4th and 5th slaps. On the other hand, vassily practically didnt so much as take a single step back for slaps 1,2 and 4, whereas on slaps 3 and 5 he indeed does recoil from the slap, but visibly less than zales would on every other slap. 8:46 Zelewski was "stepping".. not sure if this is a rule in Polish SlapFight Championship, but in US they have three main rules: 1. No Stepping 2. No Clubbing 3. No Flinching.. Polish SlapFight doesn't seem to have these, or if they do, then those rules are very relaxed, cause I noticed quite a few "clubbing" and "stepping violations.. not that many "flinching", but still some guys do move their head a little bit.. Also, in US you can't tuck-in your chin right to the chest..

That was a great match. Zales seems to get stunned every match but shakes it off but he has a ton of power. It's also impressive that he doesn't have a beard it's kind of rare to see slap champions without one.
Vasily definitely did more damage and probably won 3 out of the 5 rounds imo. I don't know all the rules, so I wonder what the rules are in regards to flinching towards the slap which is what it looked like Vasily did? Is that a defensive tactic. I definitely think the judges were impacted by the crowd on this one too as the crowd was hard rooting for Zales.
I wont argue about the flinching and chin-tucking techniques and all of that since I dont know the true extent of their impact, but changing the order of the slaps felt kind of random and definitely gave an advantage to Zales, 2 slaps in a row in a final seems kind of OP, im sure other viewers would agree with me that there needs to be some consistency, just some feedback for the new project.
No Vasily won. He wobbled one out of the first 3. Zales twice of the first 3. They should have stopped after the first 3 rounds. No overtime needed. Vasily victorious
First, complete respect to both fighters. Great War. OK, that said, Vasily won. Zales was stunned by the first three slaps. Vasily was only phased by the third. That should have been it, Vasily wins 2-1. However, this was Zales backyard, and I think they had a fourth round thinking Zales would KO Vasily... just my opinion.
Let me explain to you the rules. To become a winner of the whole event in final your win must be decisive. If the performance of competitors in final round is similar (or one is a little better) there must be overtime round.
Maybe we will see a rematch between these two titans later on. That would be a hell of a show. Maybe Vasily will learn something from this and will be at his fullest capacity, and maybe become the slapping god once again.
athletes? they do have skills to slap hard and to absorb damage to some extent. But since they destroy their brain health with each slap, they are committing self arm, and as such are mentally ill at best, which invalidate the athlete notion. the sport relies in half on the ability to accept destroying one's brain. this ability is not a skill, but a sickness at best, so this is not a sport.
@@fullshark09 The problem is that Dana White is currently bringing this to the mainstream. When a mental illness tries to become mainstream, it is indeed the signal to start to push back. Like with the lgbt agenda and other things. I appreciate the freedom of people to take part in this, but this must not become mainstream. exactly like i don't want my children to be taught lgbt at public school. (or that lgbt is evil, yes)
@@dempart5558 I kinda understand your point, but I can confidently say that this is not a mental ilness or disorder like those of a transgender for example. It's people that love adrenaline rush and high risk situations. It's similar to MMA or jumping off a cliff to a lake. They are old enough to decide, and even though in MMA you can "defend yourself" and this is promoting people risking themselves, I think banning everything that seems slightly controversial messes up with people's freedom. It's scarier to know you can't do this if you want to than actually doing it.
@@fullshark09 i can watch this match between this polish dude and the russian, as an interesting case of how people can develop slap power and defense technique, together with special genetics gifts. I can watch this as a fringe event, as a "scientific curiosity", while still knowing these guys are still destroying their brains. But the context is everything. The mental illness part becomes evident when the people watching and participating, start thinking this is a legitimate activity that can become mainstream. When this threshold is crossed, which it is currently the case thanks to Dana White, then things become serious, on a cultural level. To be honest, i did have a lot of problem with mma, which i love and hate at the same time, for the techniques and the clear brain damage, respectively. I'm currently trying to stop watching mma. I am as much scared that people will be banned to participate in this, as this becoming mainstream. If one enjoys this activity, one should complain actively against it becoming mainstream. The key thing is that culture, society, is not something we can act upon without restrain, and without expecting pushback, ever, in any circumstances. People who truly enjoy watching this should vehemently complain against Dana White.
he always goes into a training arc after something like this, tenfolds his power, he will be slapping with the power of ten thousand exploding suns the next time, there wont be an arena when these men, nay , titans meet again
Im salty Visali lost but damn, uncle fester had a huge big brain play faking out the slap to expose Visali's defense strategy. Smart play. But then again Visali won the first two rounds.
It'll never be accepted in America as a sport: 1. Beards cushion slaps, so they need to be banned. 2. No punishment for turning your head. 3. There's controversy, as shown in this video, about people angling their heads downward, which reduces surface area for slapping. That needs to be controlled. 4. These guys clearly abuse steroids. That's why Russia is banned from the Olympics for the time being and Russians need to compete independently. 5. What about potential for breaking an opponent's neck, or giving them concussions? At least boxers and MMA fighters wear padded gloves. Concussions are a big problem in wrestling, which is harder to safeguard in that sport. This is too risky to make mainstream.

@@AImighty_Loaf no baiting, Vasily kept flinching and Zales noticed that, so he stopped before the slap hit Vasily and got him good when Vasily wasn't prepared to tuck like a turtle and raise his shoulders.
You can see here Vasily's technique fully exposed here in the 5th round. He likes to shrug his traps and lean in, shortening the distance the slap can accelerate and shortening the lever, reducing torque. If you're going to do this, don't complain 80% of the time that you got hit in the ear. Dawid tilts his head down but does not move. If you speak Polish, the Punchdown rules state that you cannot flinch or move or you will be penalized, and this final round sealed the deal for Vasily in that regard on top of being knocked out. All things considered, this last round was like a 7-10 if we're speaking in boxing terms.
It didn’t really look like he was flinching or moving throughout the other slaps. What really sucks is that Vasily has a much shorter wingspan and has to lose power just to get his slap across the table that was way too big for his size. Already he was at a disadvantage in that aspect. I don’t think the table should ever get in the way of any slaps if they want even competitions. Zales earned the victory for sure tho. Rocked him with the slaps in the later rounds.
@@lzrrrrr3370 The argument is that although both tucked their heads only Vasily was moving at the moment of impact(to reduce the power of the blow), which is a breach of the rules as laid out.
Vasily makes him stumble on the first three slaps. Vasily stumbles one time. How does that result in being even and going to overtime? Seems like it goes to overtime until Vasily stops winning. Something isn't right

I love this channel...
I suspect that gave him a huuge advantage. 2 in a row is a game changer
But hitting first is also huge advantage. Now, 2 slaps in overtime for a player that was slapped first seems fair.
But of course Zales won and had all the advantages, a Polish company and a Polish champion, Dumpling was never going to win, he's Russian.

Love the athletes and also the commentators.
athletes? they do have skills to slap hard and to absorb damage to some extent. But since they destroy their brain health with each slap, they are committing self arm, and as such are mentally ill at best, which invalidate the athlete notion. the sport relies in half on the ability to accept destroying one's brain. this ability is not a skill, but a sickness at best, so this is not a sport.
@@dempart5558 oh, are you doing a tour through old videos to lecture people now that it's trendy to hate on this kind of shows?
I believe the god hand will return with a vengeance 😉
he always goes into a training arc after something like this, tenfolds his power, he will be slapping with the power of ten thousand exploding suns the next time, there wont be an arena when these men, nay , titans meet again
Im salty Visali lost but damn, uncle fester had a huge big brain play faking out the slap to expose Visali's defense strategy. Smart play. But then again Visali won the first two rounds.
I lolled at the uncle fester comments. I agree Visalii won the first two, but after uncle rocked his ass, the tide turned.
Dudeeeee yes, he baited him soooo hard! I was yelling when uncle fester hit him with a mix up. Truly a big brain move
The first round was meh, only the second hit from him was solid.
I can't believe this is considered a sport, really fun to watch 😆
@@Maxx_XIII Agreed, this should not be a sport, especially dangerous if you are facing the strongest heavyweights against each other, yes, that could result in more than a K.O! For low weights, it seems rather safe just as a funny game/kinky thing...

At one point Dawids chin was inside his lungs, so I don't get the argument.
@@lzrrrrr3370 The argument is that although both tucked their heads only Vasily was moving at the moment of impact(to reduce the power of the blow), which is a breach of the rules as laid out.
The International Olympic Committee should add this sport to the programme.
