He is non native English speaker. In Pakistan there are many families where English is the dominant language and these families often travel abroad hence their pronunciation is very fine tuned like a native English speaker

True about the language part so many sounds from a variety of alphabets as Urdu is a mix of many languages and has a native support for change and evolution as it can take in words that do not exist in it.
True native urdu speakers can adapt really good to other languages and pronounce there words how they really are intended to

English is the official language of Pakistan and taught in schools. most private to semi-private school students have an Americanized accent coz they learn the language by the ear. Especially the educated class from karachi and islamabad have an accent slightly similar to what youd find on american tv shows coz they usually learn enunciation by watching american tv shows.

Orginally he is from Pakistan and his first langugage is Urdu but Pakistani speak English very well with real english accent and founder of Pakistan also graduate from british university and he was also speak english very well .

Most of Pakistan didn't know about this 18 year old kid and yes he is local from Lahore City in Pakistan, he has just come to lime light due to his performance in Nescafe Basement, thats what good about Nescafe Basement as its mostly bringing young talent who don't have sponsors to a wider audience. Pakistan has a lot of talent just deprived of good sponsors due to unfair isolation from the world due to its bad image which you'll be surprised to know how wrong it is but still thru media its been shown as bad, trust me you'll be as surprise as u were from this song to know about Pakistan, u can even check foreign travelers reaction who visit Pakistan. thanks for reacting. He is an 18 years old university student. Studies in Lahore, Pakistan. Pakistan is 3rd largest country where people speak english and yes people speak good english here.And that instrument is Laser harp.
China has a young singer great, he called Hua Chenyu, you can listen to his song🌹
I can confidently say that the way the languages in the east are is the main reason why a lot of young singers can sing English songs as good as the native english singers, but with a little practice ofcourse.
But the English singers would have to work harder to get the words language and accents of the east

Just want to comment on a couple of things: (1) people in Pakistan from bigger cities can speak English fluently, good schools here, I can speak like that too, so does my wife, cousins, friends, etc. (2) Pakistani music industry is very developed, we've got alot of tech, and very good talent. This is a local boy. (3) That is a laser harp.

He probably has background from a an english medium private school, plus pakistani musicians, both male and female who sing in English tend to have very good English accents. At least those I've heard.
Dude this singer is 18 years old, native Pakistani. Limited ppl can speak quality english in Pakistan. Pakistan used to be a british colony once, and got its independents from britain in the year 1947.

lol most pakistani/indian ppl speak fluent english we grow up speaking it as a second language and especially in private schools there is a lot of emphasis on it
Accent makes a huge difference and Pakistan I think excels in it. They don't have the thick Indian English accent, it's pretty clean.

Pakistan keeps on giving surprises in battlefield and as well in Music
Most Pakistani people speak at least 2 to 3 languages... usually their native language if they belong to the interior of the provinces (balochi, sindhi, pushto, siraiki, punjabi and other minor languages) then there's Urdu the main national language... then there's English... Now almost everyone speaks urdu, in addition to their native language (if they have one) but only those who consume foreign media as a hobby or are required in their profession pursue English.. And there are lots places in Pakistan, specially in metropolitan cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad where you can walk into a café in a posh neighborhood and feel like you walked into a Starbucks in the USA only with more colorful clothes and people... slight hint of accents here and there, depends on how you are required to use the language, whether you chose to communicate in English yourself in your social settings or just required to communicate in English at work.
The Simpsons would have you believe we all speak like Apu that isn't the case.
Also our schools are also separated into English Medium and Urdu Medium schools.. and we also have O Levels.. so yeah... just wanted to let ya'll know...

Because of you, I have now developed a very unique and different viewpoint when I listen to music and it just adds magic to the experience of listening to music, so thank you. I have one request cum suggestion; kindly react on Kangna by Fareed Ayaz and Abu Mohammad on CokeStudio Pakistan. Qawwali has been in their family for around 1000 years now as they belong to the guy who was put in charge of training kids with Qawwali by Amir Khusro thousand years ago. Its been my personal favourite for 8 years now and I would love to have your thoughts on these guys and their very very classical eastern way of singing.
