This test was only done for the purposes of disposable water bottles and special events. If you are looking for a more permanent solution I would recommend finding something that is marketed as dishwasher safe.
The vinyl sticker paper smudged least out of all the untreated paper. However, the labels wrinkled and became semi-transparent once wet. If you want to see an in-depth comparison with lots of photos and my final suggestions, you can check out my article right here: playdatesparties.com/waterproof-water-bottle-labels/
Not everyone has the money to buy a laser printer just to make sure their projects are waterproof. But packing tape or spray sealer are pretty affordable!
using a 3ml laminating paper over the labels should work too. I will test that out as well.
the sticker paper and the paper with the spray
thank you for this! was trying to figure out how to send water to school for my daughter and needed to make sure bottles wouldn't be mixed up. :)
Like the video but she didn’t show which paper etc didn’t mess up
Great video plus the link below with the explanation is a plus + tyso much. I'm using glossy paper plus spray. : )
Do you spray both sides of the glossy photo paper? How long do you let sit between sprays? How many coats?
would you recommend any of these methods for permanent or possibly semi-permanent metal water bottle stickers?

So glossy paper + clear spray was your winner?
Yep!
@@playdatestoparties4476 you didn't show how to glue on the glossy paper to the bottle?
I went ahead and read her article, she only sprayed it in the front of the glossy paper.
What about laminating them then cutting them out🤷🏽♀️
I like this idea!
Nice earings
Does the spray leave any residue on the bottles?
No. You spray the labels before putting them on the bottles. I clipped them to a spare piece of cardboard and sprayed several at once.
Thank you so much i need to know this for my grandson party tomorrow. i just subscribed to your channel
Sorry I couldn’t see if the vinyl paper worked well

What machine do you use to print the label sticker?
I used an HP inkjet printer. 😀
What is the measurements of the paper
All the paper I used was US Letter - 8.5" x 11"
With waterproof labels available online for $0.10 each, why go through all this?
That is definitely an option if it's best for you.. This was simply an experiment to test different methods against each other. 😊
Poor audio
wet them plz
All of the labels spent two hours in an ice bucket to simulate how they would react at an actual party. You can see the time-lapse starting at 3:20.
Just use a cheap colour laser printer, everything will be waterproof!!!!!! Not brain surgery!!!!
