Machado's no hustle comment is what really made me not want him here.
Look at the difference between someone like Machado and Mookie who puts hustle on the plate, stealing, fielding, etc.
Really was the difference for the Dodgers. Hopefully next year we can all go to games so we can see him in person.

Betts played outstanding defense the whole postseason, what I like about the Dodgers’ this postseason is that it wasn’t only one or two guys with clutch hits, it was literally every player at one point or another getting that 2 out run scoring hit or making that play or hitting that homer, and great pitching performances from guys when they needed it. Great postseason run

@@johnnytheboy6609 honestly it's looking like a win win situation at this point. Verdugo is hot and still has 4 years left of team control. Jeter downs is also looking great. If betts were to leave after the year in Boston- this trade was definitely a win for them.

It's hard to describe to others how good Mookie is. I didn't know myself until he joined the Dodgers.
I’m born and raised in LA and have been a Dodger fan my whole life. I honestly can’t think of a bigger name and talent coming to the Dodgers and making such an impact since Day 1. Maybe Manny Ramirez when he came in 2008. That’s when Joe Torre came from the Yankees and Left Field became “Mannywood.” Other than that though, I can’t think of anyone bigger. Thank you Boston. 🙏
Mookie Betts single handily defensively led that team back from 3-1 down. Their defense gets going and that opens up their bats to get going. I do think Corey Seager was the MVP but Mookie getting it, I wouldn’t have been mad either.
I would have made them CO-MVP. I think Chevrolet could afford to give two Silverados since they were too cheap to give the new Corvette like they've done before.

Forever gonna say Thank You Boston for Mookie. What a player you gave us the man can literally so everything he and Seager alongside Kershaw Buehler Julio Bellinger and Turner my MVP's of the season but seeing him literally do it all in defense and offense left me speechless

Mookie is one of my fav players of all time. So underrated. He went straight BEAST MODE in the playoffs and W.S. defensively savage, stealing bases like a savage, hitting Homers like a savage. All the way around he went beast mode. Best overall (defense, baserunning, and hitting averaged together) performance in post season or at least world series. Insane

Red Sox front office claimed they couldn't "afford" to lock him up long-term (lol) so they had to move him and try to get something back in return before losing him outright to FA. Even threw Graterol into the deal as an afterthought (his medical record scared them off, heh). EASILY the worst deal they made since selling Babe Ruth's contract to the Yankees in 1919 for $100K (about $1.5 mil today)...

@@tbkalldayallnight mookie gave Dodgers a lot of momentum but that's not accounted for. Only hits and runs qualify you as mvp and Seager was that guy. No disrespect to mookie but he was 0-5 in game 4 when we we lost by 1. He was 1-5 in game 5. Game 6 though that's when he was involved in everyone of those runs Dodgers scored.

Dang it, it’s missing the highlights of him getting a hit after Snell was removed from game 6 and then scoring on a ground ball. The slide to home to beat the tag was awesome.
From the first team meeting he set up upon signing, to the final innings of the World Series, Mookie focused the team and led by example to get it done
From Home Run to rally starting double, from gold glove defense to aggressive base running, Mookie did it all.
Who was the last new Dodger to leave it all on the field and will the Dodgers to win the championship? Can you say Kirk Gibson?

Dodgers gave him what looked like an overblown max-level contract and what does he do? Enters the "avatar state" in the playoffs and literally brings the Dodgers their 1st championship in 32 years with a WS-clinching Game 6 performance on the basepaths as well as with the bat (O_O)! In MY eyes, he should've been the WS MVP or at least been able to share it with both Seager and Kershaw. New decade officially kicks off the Mookie Betts era for the Dodgers and boy is it gonna be one heck of a ride moving forward...

I am a huge Corey Seager fan, he deserved NLCS MVP, but in my opinion I felt Betts deserved the WS MVP, he manufactured runs, saved runs and batted in runs, and gave us that insurance in game 6 with the homer. That was the real MVP in my opinion

Mookie had great moments, but Seager dominated.
I love Betts, but Seager definitely deserves it, he hit nearly .500 in the postseason as a whole
At first, I was concerned the Dodgers were paying $100s of millions of dollars for a player they were penciling in as a lead off hitter when I thought someone who makes that kind of cash should be batting third in the lineup. Then as I started to watch him play, Mookie hitting lead off is beautiful and he affects the game in so many ways. He makes solid contact, is fast and can run the bases smartly. And batting first means it is not only guaranteed he gets the most at bats on the team, but the Dodgers are so deep in the lineup he is going to come up with men on base. He is the lead off hitter they have been trying to find.
