My NEW FAVORITE Island in Thailand! 🇹🇭

- After visiting all of the popular islands in Thailand including Koh Samui, Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi and others, I can honestly say that Koh Chang has become my new favorite. It reminds me of what the other Thai islands were like before they were over developed with tourism. Yet Koh Chang, especially Kai Bae Beach has some incredible restaurants, a hand full of beach bars, and the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen.

Grateful that you take me on your trips with you! My dear husband and I had planned to do a lot of traveling together but he passed away in 2013 … from pancreatic cancer. At 73, I would not care to travel alone so your videos provide a vicarious trip!!! ❤️🙏🌹
Johnny, I was in Koh Chang about 25 years ago when the Baht was well over 40bath to 1$, and we had no cellphones, internet, or computers on the island. The most technology we had were fax machines. I lived in a hut on the beach with an oil lamp and outdoor bathrooms for $2/night. There were nothing to do but hang out and have conversations with people, eat, drink, snorkling, sun bathing, exploring the island, reading books, lots of reading books on the beach, and having sex. It was a magical time on Koh Chang 25 years ago.
Sounds like you had a truly unforgettable experience! I'm happy to hear that you got to experience Koh Chang and have a great time there.
That looks really fun to swing and hang out at the bar. Enjoy your time with your friends
My favorite island as well. Covid hit it hard, so it's nice to see Koh Chang getting busier. There's room to expand, but hopefully the vibe on the island stays the same. Can't wait to go back in June.
thx for pointing out who is the elephant
So cool seeing elephants at the beach. Would be fun to swim with them
I regularly give money to organizations which save elephants from being exploited and slaves. You too should speak up dear Johnny.
I’d rather see the elephants live freely in the wild, but it’s just not possible anymore as there’s no habitat for it. The elephant organizations and sanctuaries are unfortunately not self sustainable without tourism or a lot monthly donations for 70+ years. This type of elephant experience is a happy medium, although not perfect.
@@JohnnyFD Lol you definitely don’t know what you’re talking about. Sitting on elephants is one of the worst things you can do to them…
They could just create a sanctuary for tourists and make money in an ethical way instead of this cruel exploitation.
"just create a sanctuary for tourists" sounds so easy. I've been to these, they chain up the elephants at night.
@@blancogems5862 Exactly, well said.
before giving money to save the elephants of Thailand from animal exploitation. think about giving money one day to prevent horse and greyhound racing in your good country.
Looks like a chill vibe
Chris and his companion look like they’d prefer to be alone? Or is it just that they are camera shy?
Nah, they love me there, Chris just hates the camera.
@@JohnnyFDmakes sense otherwise he would not choose to hang with you but yeah its obvious he doesnt like it at all 😅
@@JohnnyFDdo they live there, or just meet you there for vacation??
Yes when your not used to it, it can be intrusive and cannot relax with a camera stuck in your face.
As nice as the one in Ukraine was (American flag in tree) that Tai beach beats it hands down, then again you make your own happiness on what ever beach, Happy New year buddy.
Is it posible to know much you have spent on your accommodation, food, drink and transportation on Kho Chang? I'm in Chiang Mai and am thinking about going there in the near future.
Nice shots of the "elephants"......
05:59 is there a Russian family on the left?
Honestly, it’s heartbreaking to see how much Johnny seems to be struggling lately. It’s not just about the weight, but the fact that it’s clearly affecting his mobility and overall comfort. He looks genuinely uncomfortable, and it’s tough to watch. I really hope he’s okay and that he has people around him who can support him in getting healthier, not just for how he looks, but for his long-term well-being. Sending him all the best.
Thanks I appreciate it. I'm working on my health in 2025.
How the sand flies ? Using lots of coconut oil ??
Zero sand flies in Thailand.
Love the elephants enjoying a dip after a hot day and interacting - you could enjoy for the rest of your life there Johnny wish we were there - subscriber Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Johnny did a smart move getting his good friends buzzed and less camera shy. Strange dogs and elephants at the beach. Looks like fun!!
For sure beats the Ukrainian tranches.
Not all bones are fine for dogs to eat when cooked. Dog might've dodged a bullet.
If the street dog doesn't want to eat the food then...
Exploiting those elephants is not cool at all.
I agree 10000 % with you.
I’d rather see the elephants live freely in the wild too, but it’s just not possible anymore as there’s no habitat for it.
The elephant organizations and sanctuaries are unfortunately not self sustainable without tourism, and many of them chain the elephants up at night regardless of what you read in their bios.
@@JohnnyFD No habitat for the elephants...Seriously?....70% of Koh Chang is made up of rainforest...Thats where they should be!!
Go petition to release some wild elephants on Koh Chang then.
@@JohnnyFD You're Clueless, if only it was that simple.
That's the unhungriest dog I've ever seen
Me too!!!
Might have been a mother dog with puppies so particular. My dog wouldn't eat meat if she smelled something off on it, like preservatives. Kinda was a hint to us what not to buy.
Not all dogs will eat anything.
If a street dog does not want to eat it, that is a pretty big sign 😊
@Nermash it was probably a vegetarian dog. Johnny never buys bad food
I love your videos!! Greetings from Finland💪💪💪🇫🇮🙏
No minä myös nautin Jussin videoista
Wow! Koh Chang is busy. Absalutly stunning. Khop khun krup.
There are many spices/preservatives that are toxic for dogs and can be dangerous . I don't know what that was marinated or seasoned with, but FYI better not to just throw anything to a dog unless you know exactly what's in it. Depending on the breed and the amount ingested reactions can range from nothing to very very bad.
Why do you need those polystyrene sleeves for the bottles? I'm assuming it's the keep it cool but does it get warm that quick! you would have drunk it before it got warm!! Happy New Year
What area is this
это потомок Чингиз хана или он сам
Johnny I think both your friends and the dog are trying to tell you something!!!!
Johnny found a lady friend or is he just sharing with a dude.
That's the other guys wife.
Shhhhhh. I haven't been there for 20 years, and I hope it's close to what I remember.
I hope it stays that way, but it's slowly getting more popular either way.
With more people nothing stays the same as greed takes over.
Thailands deff becoming one of my travel destinations within the next 5 years I try to avoid being in the US 😂
Looks like you're having a wonderful time, but your choice of beers, hmmm. Leo? Seriously? Singha man all the way here 🍺🍻
They all taste the same to be honestly 😅
@@JohnnyFD Them's fighting words ;)
I’m so jealous! Have fun bro!
Please visit again to my motherland Sri Lanka. You are most welcome. Merry Christmas Johnny ❤.
You need to move there permanently bro, its paradise!!
It truly is, but if you spend enough time in paradise, you'll start to miss things like infrastructure, and other things only bigger cities have.
@@JohnnyFD What turned you off? The visa runs?
@@JohnnyFDJohnny appreciates it more by not being there permanently besides the best ladies are in Ukraine!
@@JohnnyFD I don't think the elephants would agree with you. I would never visit such countries.
BUDDHA BLESS THAILAND
Buddha!
Thanks Johnny for writing me back, after all these years!
Thanks for your Instagram comment that you said, paying taxes in Norway may be worth if you had a family and kids there 😁
I watched your interview that you feel more home in Ukraine than in the US.
Nice to hear from you again.
Damn son! Elephants in the sea! 😮
That food looked really fun to eat. So many courses, drinks and desserts for just $13.50 each.
It was $22 each.
@@JohnnyFD thought total was $65
for 3 people...i said in the video...
@@JohnnyFD ok thought it was for 5. Still looked great
