- One of my favorite motos, a 1999 Suzuki Bandit 1200S. This bike started life as a sport touring machine with a bikini fairing and a look that was so 90's. I've rebuilt it several times until I got it perfect. I chopped off the tail and had a local weld shop build me a trellis so the Monster seat I had would fit. It gradually has morphed into a street fighter. It retains a raw, visceral countenance that demands skill and respect. Enjoy the track day video at the end.

Nice work
Nice bike I love the older bike I have a 1993 katana
Loved the Mladin last year Bandito.
Difficult to watch. My 98 1200S Bandit. Some nice mods but the carburetors need cleaning. Short double barrel exhaust looks good but is loud. And from the tank to the carbs that extra tube from the petcock had a screw as a block. Odd. I just have named it "Tampered With." A "naked" bike with one combo gauge and nice headlight but that's it. A very inexpensive fbMP purchase. No title but now registered with a plate. All there but I don't quite know where I want to go with it. Anyway. I will get back to this video. Obviously huge huge Thank you for sharing your amazing work with this one. Just great. "I'll be back." Oh yea. If I could only be in Missouri and have B.J. look at it. (Brickhouse Builds). ♥. ~~~ New Hampshire. ~~~
I had one 1997 midnight blue..
1157cc
Air/oil cooled (suzuki advanced cooling system)
38mm mikuni 'slingshot carbs'
96bhp @ crank 72lb/ft torque at 3,800 rpm.
42mpg if ridden steady.
Curb weight 211kg
In esance a torque wheelie bike with more Grunt than you can handle in a flexi braced chassie..
Smiles per miles 😆
30yrs on & i still rate it now.
One of the best pre 21st century bikes ever.
Easy to work on & highly tunable, you could push 130bhp at back wheel.
Lots did the Drag strip.
If only Suzi made em today..
I loved mine, Micron zorst system, Hagon rear shock made it even better. 🍻
You made a cool vintage- looking vintage Bike :). Really nice.
Hey Joel, I have a mk1 1200 engine in a mk2 frame and am currently trying to setup my carbs on the same dual pods.
I am curious to know, what kind of jetting have you done? And would you change anything with the current carb setup?
Hey Noah, waaay back 20+ years ago, I didn't keep very complete records of my mods so I don't have jetting info on my B12. I did put in the Stage 2 kit from Holeshot Performance. Not sure if you can still get it since the owner of the business has a serious health condition. I did have a local shop help me tune things and I've not changed anything since then.
