Something I’ve noticed about gluten free people is all of your eyes look very bright and you speak like there is no delay between the brain and the lips! I am on day 4 now of being gluten free and though I’ve always eaten pretty healthy, I cannot even believe the difference I feel already. I am so excited.
I am so thankful for these testimonies ❤❤ I haven't been tested for this but gluten , corn , starch , no matter gluten free or not , nuts , sugar . Allakes me super sick
3:50 I keep forgetting this point, despite 11+ years of diagnosis. I do pretty well with keeping myself safe, but it is a slap in the face (or maybe the stomach/gut) that I’m not going to be 100% safe all the time. Thank you for your video; I’ll keep the Celiac Attack kit in mind.
I succumbed to eating chocolate today, it said may contain gluten, my big mistake . I’ve never been glutened like it, the pain in the tummy set in along with leg burning and leg cramps. The tummy pain was the worst I’ve experienced, I’ve been rolling around in bed for the last few hours, haha thinking what in the hell have I done. 😳 The bile coming up was just awful. I’ve been accidentally glutened before, and it’s mostly been stomach cramps awful fatigue headache and.brain fog. I’ve learnt my lesson and it’s been a hard one 😉
I ate nachos minus the corn chips. Holy crap, I've never had this severity of symptoms. Eyes swollen, blistered and swollen throat, burning intestine, brain fog, weakness and every part of my torso below my ribs are bloated and SORE!
I really appreciate the way that you phrased this, and encouraged your viewers not to be so harsh on themselves! I had been OK, eating gluten here and there, but I got married three weeks ago and overloaded on all of the tasty glutinous treats. Now I am feeling the aftermath of it and realize that I need to detox from it. I feel really bad that I can’t do the things that I want to do, but I really appreciate the way that you phrased things. Thank you!
My issue is WHEAT ....gluten as I'm aware is just one of the proteins in it ....I think lots of people are sensitive to wheat as it has changed over the last 50 years and its mostly dwarf wheat now which is being grown and sold these days ...I do think there is other stuff in wheat which can effect many people ...
@@celiacnutrition Yes ...i tested negative to celiac disease yet show many of the symptoms when i eat gluten ( as its a component of wheat) The IBD is terrible when i eat it ... Me too My problem is wheat too and it started out of no where I use to eat bread all the time and then it started to really hurt me and I went to the dr and said my wheat protein in specific was high rye doesn’t bother me and some other gluten things but wheat messes me up like rn!!😢
I just recently got gluten 2 times in the span of 1 week from 2 separate restaurants. I’m not mad about it, but it’s really annoying , painful and I wish the restaurants were more careful, my celiac disease symptoms are not fun . If I was to work the next day after being exposed I would have had to miss work but thankfully I had the next day off. celiac disease is part my life and I am not going to change what I can’t change I will just have to do better, eating out even less. At home I have more control over gluten free foods and how the food stays gluten free.
Well I get annoyed, as we go to the trouble of explaining the conditions and explaining how ill one can become, even from cross contamination. Sadly some people don’t understand or care, and it’s a sale to them. Then other restaurants are very responsible, in saying I can’t guarantee it’ll be GF, when that happens it’s my choice. Many restaurants don’t under stand cross contamination. If I find a good restaurant, I stick to it and always show my appreciation. Although I now realise it’s much safer to eat at home. But let’s face eating out is a very social happy thing to do. 😊 Sometimes we just want to be like every one else, and don’t feel like we’re making a fuss.
@@Baby-Dont-Hurt-Me-007 it’s risky but when you find a good restaurant you stick with it, some of the restaurants I go to are 100% gluten free, no gluten used whatsoever, others offer gluten free options and have really strict protocols for gluten free food orders, but I am not invincible and sometimes get glutened at restaurants I have never been to, or if the restaurant doesn’t have a gluten free menu but says they do gluten free on request.
@@celiacnutrition It's something slavic cultures embrace as a natural blanket remedy for most stomach aches. Sometimes it helps wonders, sometimes it's neither. I'd still dilute it with at least a 1:2 amount of water

If you’re been glutened, and I know it happens accidentally as you wouldn’t put your self through it deliberately. 😩 I use Iberogast from the pharmacy, its herbal all natural herbs, it’s amazing for settling the tummy. I find it hard to believe professionals and Drs aren’t aware of this. Mistakes happen, this lady is right, some restaurants don’t under stand cross contamination, and that gets me every time. I seldom eat out, it’s not worth the pain. Good luck every one ☝️ we can protect ourselves from gluten, we have to be prepared and diligent. Activated charcoal is a good tool to have, that’s going into the medicine cabinet, but number one is Iberogast 😊
I just ate gluten for several weeks because my dr wanted to retest for celiac. This is the worst I have felt for a long time and I feel like i will never feel better. Just looking for some relief. Thanks for your video but it didn;t actually offer any solutions for symptom relief (other than for bloating).
My recovery is rest, lots of water(I mean a lot), probiotics, and I eat rice cooked in broth. Or you can add broth to your cooked rice and eat as a soup. This is what I do that helps me feel a little better. Just lay in bed and read a book or watch a show you love for a whole day after exposure. If you experience joint pains too, take a really hot shower or salt bath. And compressions sleeves help a lot for your wrists and ankles.
How come no one mentions glyphosate in the food products - even oatmeal can have glyphosate in it - anyway- it’s a drag getting glutened but avoiding wheat helps - you have to make sure your subbing with clean food
When I get gluten I have the following which I don't see listed : I will feel like I have diarreah and will feel like if I don't go to the toilet I will soil myself. Once on the toilet, I have to do tremendous amounts of pushing during a very long period (hours some times) for something to come out, and almost always what comes out (even though it feels like I pushed an elephant from my butt) is just a slimy bubbly thingy that sort of floats in the water, and never anything solid, nor liquid for that matter, it's just this squirt of weird thingy, do you know what that is? Is that what lies inside my intestines? Also I have massive bloated stomach that becomes super hard. What helps me the most, though I guess you can't suggest it, is smoking Marihuana.
Great question! I wouldn’t say there is one symptom that most people suffer from. It’s very dependent on the person. Some people get stomach pain, others vomit, others experience swift diarrhea, headaches, joint paint, and some people get no noticeable symptoms at all (though this video was geared towards those who get noticeable symptoms)
How long does it generally take for you to feel better / heal after being Glutened? I am about 11 days out from consuming some gluten and still feel terrible, I have had lots of Gi issues and I’m dealing with the gluten flu (as I like to call it) lots of body pain/aches and debilitating fatigue
Holding space for how awful you've been feeling since being glutened. For some people, it takes a few days and for other people they report it taking a few weeks. Generally, if you're worried about how long it's lasting, you might want to meet with a doctor to make sure nothing else is going on.
A few days for me. I use Iberogast its a life saver to me. It takes the cramps away and relaxes the tummy , I wouldn’t be without it. Drink plenty of water. I’ve been glutened by a number of times after eating out, even after going through my dietary needs . It’s cross contamination they restaurants don’t understand. We just have to be so careful 😉
Hope you got better soon after! it's horrible and gluten flu is a great term for it. I'll remember that one;). I got glutened over 3 weeks ago in a restaurant with basically pure gluten (meat replacements, probably seitan) and am still feeling quite bad, mainly stomach ache, sometimes nausea and overall sadness and frustration. Trying to figure out now which foods do not upset my stomach and am going to the doctor in two days. Any recommendations are welcome!
Activated charcoal does help. II've tested it myself and it does help. However, I use it before a meal when I know it has gluten or dairy and I don't have other food options.

They did have it. I’ve met many people who have been coeliac for 30 years. Unfortunately that long ago there wasn’t much you could buy that was gluten free - they had to make sure their food was gluten free by preparing it themselves. Also these days the way wheat is grown and the chemicals used on it when growing have shown to be changing the genetics of wheat - this was told to me recently by a wheat farmer.
I’m laughing now because over the last couple of weeks since I ate gluten my hands were itching and never gave it a thought that could be why. I deal with joint pain pain when exposed.

thank you. what do you think about apple cider vinegar after a gluten exposure?
it's not something I'd immediately advise as something so acidic likely wouldn't be welcomed by gut irritated by gluten, what makes you ask?
