The impressiveness of this show is the fact that the entire house appears to be effectively a giant LED wall; or at least some really great software engineering to make it appear that way. While simultaneously appearing to be a more traditional light setup. The synchronized lighting effects that span the house, the candy canes, the gutters, and the tree are quite incredible.
This is absolutely fantastic! As someone who desperately wanted to work in show writing at a theme park but never made the cut, this reminds me that there are ways to do what you love outside of a formal career.
I would like to thank the led inventors for giving the possibility to amazing people making really beautiful things like this light show. It just made my day!
I'd love to see a behind the scenes walk through of the different equipment you're using. Blows my mind that you're able to achieve all of this with, mostly, LEDs. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Looks like something like a Falcon F48 or F16v3 controller from www.pixelcontroller.com/store/index.php . FPP running on an RPI v3, WS2811 pixels from Ray Wu or other Aliexpress vendor www.aliexpress.com/store/701799 . The trees look like they are from Boscoyo boscoyostudio.com/ also maybe their Chromatrim. Lighting sequencing done in xlights. I may be wrong but with those you could create a similar display, xlights has some great text to light voice stuff(kinda a pain lining up the words sometimes). Nope its actually very cheap the tree actually uses the least amount of power than the rest b/c a pixie controller only uses like 7 volts of something while a plug in is like 140 I think
Based on the datasheet on his website the beams consume around 350 Watts each (230W lamp with mechanical shutter). Combined, not a lot more than an average electric heater. The LED's will be at least a few hundered watts too.

I didn't realise you had a full comedy sketch between your songs. As this is the first time I've seen your full show, living in the UK as I do, I only ever saw the songs you posted.. didn't realise you had an entire 35 min setup put together. Ive just started playing with syncrolight controllers and addressable leds, so I can appreciate the momumental amount of money, work and programming that went into this, incredible!

I can't imagine how much time how many lights how much effort how much programming they had to do this is amazing. However I would have loved to have heard Christmas carols but it doesn't take away the fact that I know how much work went into this simply fabulous

I really like the more retro-looking light colors and patterns used in the second to last song- "Amazing Grace". Most of the effects can only be done with your addressable lights, but it still pulls off that older style look somehow!

every video beats the previous ones-brilliant work and as a computer programmer (former) I can just imagine the weeks of programming and the light set up-simply you are a wizard why you not on tv in xmas specials I dont know-continued success and happy safe holiday to you and family.

My daughers absolutely love this. They ask me every day to watch the Christmas lights. They watch and dance and laugh, thankyou for your exceptional work and for sharing it with us!
I really like the more retro-looking light colors and patterns used in the second to last song- "Amazing Grace".
Most of the effects can only be done with your addressable lights, but it still pulls off that older style look somehow!
Can not wait to see this years display!
