They need to keep everything to themselves, not telling friends or family because people, just cannot be trusted. Maybe put out false information, about their movements, a red herring, as they say. What a horrible way to live your life, constantly wondering, who could be dropping information out about you. I would play at being Agatha Christie, I would give one different bit of information to everyone in my circle of family, friends, not forgetting staff, then sit back and see which bit of information surfaces, hence not giving the same piece of information to more than one person.
