it's tragic that patricia died so young!! here she shows she can sing in english, which would have been the gateway to conquering britain, america & australia!! sadly, she will not be able to do that now she is dead, but the videos will be a reminder to any & everyone who watches them, just what a magnificent singer of all types of music, not just opera, she was!! patricia liked listening to rock music away from the stage, btw!

Lousy Management is the reason. Vienna is at driving distance from Patricia's home and to this date she has not performed in the City of Music. It doesn't make sense. Utterly unfair.

Patricia performed in Vienna three times in last years - twice directly in Vienna (for the first time in 2012 - "Starry Night", for the second time on Christmas concert in Peterskirche 2015) and once in Abbey of Klosterneuburg (separate city right on Vienna´s northern borders - 2013).
this particular video, 6/10, where she wears a black dress, is the one to recommend to people who have not yet discovered patricia janeckova. it's nice that she sings it in english and with more soul than anybody else has ever sung 'summertime'.

This is the second version of 'Summertime' I have heard in the past year or so that has completely hypnotised me, the other was Angelina Jordan's, which was a more jazz orientated version.
