Yeah. I always preferred to give out passes with no spin when within 5m for that same reason. A big spin pass is great for accuracy over greater distances, but it makes catching the ball much harder.
@@hvalleydude922 Yep, agree. And I hate that point-over-point tumbling pass some scrum halves started using a few years ago. Thankfully it seems to have died a death as coaches must surely have realised it's asking to be dropped.
Sorry Arron as a forward hitting the line hard I would prefer a 6 o'clock pass ( league) than a spiral any day a lot easier to catch
