Cora (Laura San Giacomo) protects the native baby from the attacking dingos.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Tom Selleck stars as American cowboy archetype Matthew Quigley in Simon Wincer's outback western Quigley Down Under. Answering an advertisement placed by Australian cattle baron Elliot Marston (Alan Rickman) to come to the rugged and uncivilized Australian countryside and shoot dingoes, Quigley finds himself halfway around the world, only to find that Marston wants to exploit his talents as a sharpshooter in order to wipe out the Aborigine population. Taken aback by this square-jawed genocide, Quigley grabs Marston and hurls him through a window. Marston, who controls the region, sets out to hunt Quigley down. But helping him stay one step ahead of Marston is the addlebrained expatriate American trollop Crazy Cora (Laura San Giacomo) who insists that Quigley is her husband Roy.

"Hell... let's both make some noise!"
This movie was underrated af. One of my favorite Westerns.
That scene when she first picks up the baby always brings me to tears.
You go on cry. I’ll make noise with you
I feel bad for Cora. She and the little one with her are at such a disadvantage. But she hangs tough and over comes her demons... Oh by the way this is a good movie!
You can't understand this scene without watching the whole movie. She was sent to Australia by her husband when she accidently smothered her baby when Indians came to their homestead and she was trying to keep him quiet, which is why she went crazy.
Dingo’s ate my baby!
Indians in Aus? i think u mean Aborigines.
that went way over your head VIK. she's from america her husband was away and natives came to their place and she hid. Her baby started crying so she accidentally smothered her baby trying to keep him quiet. her husband got back and sent her to Australia because he never wanted to see her again because she killed his son. This scene is her living her nightmare of that day. She's got a kid with her and silence was safest option instead of smothering the kid trying to keep him quiet she decided to face the oncoming danger instead of killing the kid out of fear.
@@224224josh You got it. The full meaning of the scene is best understood in the context of the whole movie.
@@blainebednarik2128 Public ignorance re dingos even in Australia is astounding. That woman was vindicated. They eventually found the evidence, the bloody clothes of the baby. People have become so "citifed"(from living in cities), they have no concept.
I truly awesome movie one of Tom selleck's best .
this woman and this scene make the movie for me
I’m not a fan of the Glock but this is one case where 17+1 in the magazine and a couple spares would’ve been quite nice to have. 😂
Plenty of other options besides Glock to have that magazine capacity 😉
@@ImTHATguy...but will you get the conceal and comfortability of a light weight high capacity glock? Probably not
This movie covered a lot of subjects like how the Indians were treated but this scene covers someone overcoming their fear to defend and innocent. An amazing movie just for covering those subjects a dozen times over but it really is a classic that will stand against the best out of the 1950's and 1960's.
Excellent. ♡ T.E.N.
Jesus, the dingos attacked one of their own?! That’s cold!
Exactly.
i love this movie and sellack. girl so good. but i love australia more.
One of the best scenes!
I JUST did a metal remix version of the song by Basil called The Attack on my channel!!!
It's freaky.
One fine looking woman!
Yep !
Ditto
Ruff ruff
You give a texacane a gun you'll be smart never to get on their bad side, if you do you then signed your death warrant.
