In close range I don’t mind the shotguns but I shouldn’t be getting one hit when im relatively far away from the other player.

Think about it this way, Battlefield has HUGE maps so as you speaking "relatively far" is actually mean somewhat close distance. It would be useless otherwise, and its makes sense as shotguns dominate at close and close to middle range but useless at further distance. Also this is realistic and satisfying as fuck.
It is fine, same op as BF4 MCS-870 but cock slower. I'm not using it since I'm suck at shotty, but it should be this strong.
There was something weirdly satisfying about watching you one shot the guy with the shield by taking his feet out from under him like "bro where'd your feet go?"

Personaly i think the shotguns are fine in close combat, but they should nerf the damage on range, then it would imo be fine. You still need some level of aim to get it to work in close quaters vs like k30, where you can use half a mag to get your aim straightened.
The range makes you think twice about how you move about the new map. Reaction time wont save you either, itll outgun a AR and SMG from a decent range too with its one shot potential.

How hard is it to just (for certain shots gun and the rounds ) for bullets(ammunition )to do less damage depending how far they are

I suck at using shotguns both in game and in real life, but even I was able to be effective with the buffed MCS-880. I'm not mad about it! 😁
Seems like BF is drinking a coffee with COD in a bar. Come on this is not BF, now me must wait to another season to buff the sotguns. Still a bad game but in some moments its fun
