I agree with you Sachin sir, I'm having the same case too... I've to design a PILE FOUNDATION for multi-storied building of area 48 x 48 m2. It has many columns nearly 186. Its meaningless to analyse single column and design a pile cap & shaft for it. Therefore, for my case there should be a common PILE CAP which happens to be a common RAFT above. Underneath this single RAFT/CAP it will have many pile shafts. ENGR NURUZZAMAN HOSSAIN sir, we both shall be thankful if you could help us...
