probably one of the more unusual compliments but the color usage in this game is great and the team did an amazing job creating the color palettes for the characters !!!!
I especially like how the environment is desaturated while spells are more saturated. LoL never changed it's original map because they were afraid you wouldn't be able to see skillshots well enough. But with this system you can implement many different map color patterns without it hurting the visibility of spells/abilities too much.
"Going to war against the industry on the behalf of our players" is exactly what we need. You'll soon have a dedicated player base that'll be a willing license to print money thanks to this, as long as you don't betray your word and come at us with predatory monetization. I also must salute your employee benefits, thank you for promoting sane working conditions !
The game is amazing in so many ways, the map traversal is one of them but the combat is crisp and mechanically satisfying. There is a lot of systems and depth that make it replayable and fun every match. There are multiple modes too. I've been playtesting off and on for 2 years and its been my most anticipated game for a while.
Looking forward to playtesting with new people :) This game's development has been a joy to engage with, and I'm happy to continue to watch and help it grow. The people from the team I've interacted with are kind and fun to play with, I can't help but root for them. 40 Hours in and looking forward to so many more.

As a League play i thought it was fun but didn’t think it was my playstyle until 3:22 when he mentioned League and the similarities just clicked for me,this looks like League but honestly just more fun,im not sure if i like how zoomed out the camera is and it’s positioning but that aside i can’t even put into words how excited i am for this game! I really,REALLY,for many reasons hope that Theorycraft games succeeds and goes a long way.

I love the character come pov and how mouse guides all actions and vision. I love there seems to be no auto targeted auto atacks. I imagine this will be extreme to balance but so much meta evolving in game because of flexibility of maps and tools. This has insane potential

I'm all up for new attempts in this genre, all good. One thing I think is fair to mention is that you are not "really independent". You just emphasize that so many times but the reality is that Theorycraft Games is past a Series B which was led by Makers Fund with participation from NEA and a16z. You have investment from the most major corpos in the scene. NetEase, Makersfund, Bitkfraft, a16z, Sisu and GGP. Your cap table is very diluted and you are most definitely going public as investors will exit. Just keep that in mind and be transparent. This is not "super independent". Other than that, good luck in the genre!
love the studio and love the game too, but this also bothers me. Can't be both one of the most heavily funded new studios in this genre owned by all the big existing players & an independent (INDEPENDENT) small studio.
I played a ton of battlerite and absolutely adored it. Some of the characters here look fairly similar and the gameplay looks like an upgraded version of what battlerite was with its own unique style and I’m so excited to get that feeling again of just absolutely losing myself in a game that felt like it was tailor made to me and the rest of the community.
This is amazing! It's so cool to see you doing this format again, and I love the idea of bucking up against what the multiplayer industry has become these days! Battlerite was super fun but always suffered from too few players. I don't know what else made that game fail but I'm sure you guys have thought a lot about the causes and are looking at ways to do things differently!
I'm not super-duper into PvP, but the game looks extremely fun. Even if you don't have the time and budget to accommodate a non-competitive crowd, I wish Theorycraft the best of luck!

Not to reopen old wounds... but remember back in the day when Riot wanted to make a 10v10 map called the Magma Chamber? This totally reminds me of it, but on a grander scale with all the teams fighting each other. Congrats on picking up my interest again in top-down arena games, Theorycraft
Really excited to playtest it, looks so beautiful, fun and feels like you can move so freely around the map while fighting that I just simply love it. That being said, I'm from Chile so hopping people from this side of the globe get hyped enough to have a community to play with during the playtest period lmao
Wow, wow, wow. This looks SO fun to play. Me and my buddy have played every game with isometric moba-like control that has caught wind and loved it. League of Legends, Battlerite(+Royale), V rising, Bap Bap - this looks to add exactly the gameplay elements we would want in all of those games.
That is some nice footage of some great plays. Nice set of features too, I like the decision to have line of sight limits so people can hide without extra stealth mechanics.

As a long time League and Battlerite player this looks VERY promising but one immediate critique I have is how bright everything is. Yes it looks super beautiful but it seems so hard to distinguish all the skills from the actual background and in games like these this has to be one of the top priorities
