I loved your box set up but I believe the doors had to be the hardest part of your build. I skimmed past a few vids but I'm guessing you matted the inside of the doors I didn't really get to see but you are a true craftsman Steve. Mad props from Texas!
That's real nice Steve! Ppl pay thousands of dollars to go to school to learn this stuff and you giving it away for free. Bout time somebody stop being selfish and greedy and shared the knowledge. I really appreciate it.
@dummyraul sure, as long as the resin can soak into it you should be able to. I think you have fleece there, maybe you call it something else where you live but i cant see any country in the world not having it. good luck my friend!
I could only wish to have your talent, patience, and money. Awesome job, and I cant wait to see it all done and see you terrorize more people with the beats.
because that high pitched router can have my ears ringing for 3 days straight where my beat dont affect me at all....bass and low notes have different effects then the higher ones. The higher ones will ruin your hearing much MUCH quicker.
no kidding ilco, u think from being in that truck doing as many demos as he has done, the sound of that saw would be a cake walk. but it is a bit more high pitched then the truck......maybe. Anyway another great vid steve, ur making me visit youtube everyday just for your and EXO updates.... car audio is so addicting, LOL!!!!
Damn. I'd be afraid to attempt something like that with my door panels. Cuz it'd probably turn out like shit if I tried. Fiberglass seems like a challenge. So much body work involved. hah. Anyways. These are SICKKKKK! Wish you lived in Texas.
so true though bro haha, i mean just when your feelin good about whatever you just did.......you get to repeat it and not only that but the opposite way grrrrrrr lol!!! at least it keeps our skills sharp :D
i know steve makes this shit like a TV show... Next time on... "Steve Meade Designs" steve will be fiberglassing his front driverside and passenger side door.. Stay tuned to TLC.. YAY i cant wait i cant wait till tomorrow!
yo steve watch for your neighborhood, cuz they might tax u like they did to my dad. just woke up and hes like the subs and the amp is missing. either way good vid. you are a man of many skills.
I have one question. How do you mount the door back on the taho? Wont the fiberglass change the clearance around the edges? Do you use the original mounts and if so how do you keep the fiberglass from getting in the way around the edges but still have it wrap around so that it is strong and doesnt chip?
do you use tooling resin for all your glass work? im gunna start some door panels soon and im just trying to compair prices and get everything in order before i start the project
Damnit Steve... It's getting difficult to avoid becoming a fanboy...... In the meantime - HOW could you just stop once you got that far?? I'd have been working for 36 hours straight and not slept till the resin was drying!
Steve, you really need to open your own shop! You'd be big! Places like Unique Autosport are big with huge network deals--don't ask me why because their work isnt that great, its much less than what meets the eye. You do some really nice fucking work! Time to cash in on your talent!
go watch videos then try it ur self start on a small project then work ur way up, thats what i did i started when i was 11 im now 16 2months away from 17 and its rather fun and easy to do after a few try's,i asked steve sorta the same ? but it was about if he went to school for it and its striaght up old school.
oh ok that makes more sense now and i e-mailed u a few questions about a build i want to do. idk if u got the e-mails or not cuz u havent replied. i know u probably get 100s per day tho p.s. i e-mailed u through youtube

QUICK QUESTION ARE A-PILLARS DOME SPEAKERS???
I'm gonna go ahead and agree 100% with this.
@dummyraul You probably have fleece but it is called something else there. Fleece is really just soft wool fabric (from a sheep).

what cloth do you use for base? Amazing work!! Thank You!
Look good to me now i'm doing my own
I have one question. How do you mount the door back on the taho? Wont the fiberglass change the clearance around the edges? Do you use the original mounts and if so how do you keep the fiberglass from getting in the way around the edges but still have it wrap around so that it is strong and doesnt chip?

What glue did you use to set the rings in place, I know its a 2 part glue/spray but where can I get it (home depot)..Thanks
What's that white length of cloth that covers holes? I need that...
@MrJoker750 hard to say bro, just pull them tight !
why not?
is that just the original door panel you built onto?
do you use tooling resin for all your glass work? im gunna start some door panels soon and im just trying to compair prices and get everything in order before i start the project
Steve what did you do for the wires in the door jambs?

Damnit Steve... It's getting difficult to avoid becoming a fanboy......
In the meantime - HOW could you just stop once you got that far?? I'd have been working for 36 hours straight and not slept till the resin was drying!
