Tips to make your washer last longer: only put detergent to the max fill or less. This is an efficient washer and does not need a lot of detergent. Using excess detergent will cause it to corrode on the inside overtime which will cause it to stop working. Many people make this mistake all the time thinking more soap is better and cleans better. So wrong. You don't need much. And you want to use a low sudsing detergent. Also, do not only use cold water all the time. Clean your washer at least once a month on cleaning mode. Run a wash cycle on the hottest water temperature setting with NO DETERGENT and NO CLOTHES to make sure all the soap scum and buildup is removed to prevent corrosion. Also, NEVER EVER overload the machine. This will cause wear and tear and eventually knock the barrel off balance and your machine will basically be DONE. Make sure you change/clean the filters regularly. Front load machines are more sensitive and require more TLC. I learned this from a tech...

This situation is far from normal. Either the machine is unbalanced, or there is an underlying issue. It is possible that something went wrong during delivery. Since you recently purchased the machine, I recommend contacting the merchant from whom you made the purchase. Hi Libby, you are going to enjoy your units. Our machine works today the same as it did the day we bought them. We especially love the sanitize setting. Does an incredible job on anything that may have a smell from an animal, well water, or just plain dirty.

Your machine should not be Shaking. It comes with a self balancing process before it begins its spin cycle. After it balances the clothes it then begins at spin cycle. The shaking can only be coming from the machine being unbalance on the floor or there is something wrong with the machine. You stated that it is balanced on the floor. Sounds like you need to have it replaced while under warranty.

Hey Dahili, first let me apologize for the inadequate video that I posted concerning the washer and dryer. We love our machine. The best feature in my opinion is the steam cycle. We have well water and we've always had trouble in the past with the smell in the clothes. The steam cycle kills all bacteria and leaves your clothes smelling fresh depending on your detergent. We have not had any problems at all with the washer or dryer. They are very quiet and efficient.

I am not sure how familiar you are with front end load wash machine. They are designed to use very little water. Because they use much less water than a top loader you can also use less detergent because it's not watered down. You will never see the water level rise in the machine. However, you will find that your clothes are clean very well and the machine runs extremely efficient.
This is normal for a front loader. It uses little water but does a better job than a top loader in my opinion. What is important is that your clothes are clean. :)
I did not calibrate them. I leveled them with adjustable feet. We love our machines. I actually noticed an improvement in the cleaning from my previous front load machines. The steam function on the dryer for serialization is awesome.

I do not own a king comforter. I have washed a queen comforter in this machine. One of the things I like about front end loaders is that you can put large loads in and they come out clean. It realy depends on the thickness of the comforter. I say if you can get it in you can wash it.
Carolyn, I'm sure you have figured it out by now 😊 but yes put the clothes in first and then do your settings. Do not let these machines intimidate you. They're just washing machines with a fancy face. However, they are dynamic units and we have loved ours. Don't forget to download the “SmartThings” app by Samsung. The icon for the app looks like a snowflake. With the app on your phone, you can start and stop your washer and dryer and you can view the progress of the cycle.
We have had our machine for several years and no they do not smell. We have well water which contributes to wash-machines smell but so far no problem with this machine. We did have a smell with our previous front loader. This machine has a self cleaning function that we run once a month and so far has proven to be effective. They do make products as well that you can place in your machine and run a cycle to help clean it out internally. Because front end loaders do collect water up against the seals on the door it is possible that if the machine is not maintained overtime an odor can develop. Crys there should be no clicking noise on the Machine. These are very quiet operating machines. It is impossible for me to know what's causing this noise. However, there are a few things that could be causing the noise. The machine can be unlevel, the water pump may be bad or maybe there is something caught between enter and outer drum. No matter what's causing it if they are new you should get them replaced or at least will have them look at by the company's repairman.If you've just purchased them I would call the store you got them from and get the installer back out there. You could try calling the manufacturer to see what's going on.

Josa, we have had our machines for nearly 3 years. We have experienced no problems. Machines operate today as well as they did on day one.
If the door seal was damage, contact the manufacturer to have it replaced. Hopefully it will be under warranty.

Daniel Kyle people think the clothes have to be soaked in water to be cleaned. They just have never washed clothes at the laundry mat lol

You should calibrate it. That way it detects the weight of the load and knows how much water to add!

Does the front load machine smell? We just bought one and I am hearing from everyone how front load washers smell bad.
We have had our machine for several years and no they do not smell. We have well water which contributes to wash-machines smell but so far no problem with this machine. If you dry the door quickly with a dry towel then leave the door open so that moisture can escape, it should be fine.
put oxyiclean inside with detergent you will never get an odor again. that is what i do with mine.

I am now online (the line being busy) trying to find out how to turn the Child Care option off on my washing machine.
To turn off the child lock option on your Samsung front loader washer model WF50R8500AV, please follow these steps:
