Bro you're blowing my mind with this house/pool project you're doing... I had my house burn down from a utility line back in April and I'm planning on GC'ing the rebuild myself as the homeowner. I've been trying to make the numbers work with the insurance money but from the way I see it, I need to GC the rebuild myself to make it work. With that being said, if I do GC the job, I might actually be able to cut enough out that I can make a pool like this work. I'm taking a lot of notes on everything, but it's so eye opening once you realize what you can do if you just GC the job yourself! Keep doing your thing, I'm going to be doing the same thing here soon (and I'm thinking about documenting it like you are).
@@CaseLucasRobinson And if you haven't already, I'd do automated chemical balance as well. Makes maintaining your pool easier as well. But that's just personally what I'd do. A lot of people I build for don't, but I recommend it to everyone.
Learned it's wise to test where the wind typically blows to avoid buildup of surface junk away from the skimmer when its stormy...the skimmer is useless if not placed where its optimal.
Your such a inspiring guy thanks for sharing about your dreams we all have dreams to do something in life and we can make things happen I love seeing your videos I love watching videos of houses keep up the hard work
As a Florida pool owner I say automated, also a variable pool pump is the way to go because it will save a lot in electricity bills in the long run with an up front cost which is worth the money.
Get a irrigation system in my market it’s like 1800-2,200 depending on the set up get dripwrs for trees and bushes because it’s always hot in Texas and
I built a house with a similar pool and spent about 22k blue stone around the pool and black stone nice and modern idk material cost in your area I know being that Texas is always hot it’s probably material that’s is demand constantly
We bought a serious custom-made pool cover ($4,200), which really cuts down on pool maintenance costs for the season we do not use the pool. So you might plan on needing one. ALSO, I'd ditch the flame bowls and just go with a couple of falling water fountains. I doubt you'll ever use the flames.
Working on our final Designing home scheme, wondering how I go about getting the loan from the bank without a general contractors license I am trying to do an owner-build. Any suggestions??
Ok, fr, very serious question. Is it possible to build a house In a sandbox game like Minecraft to transfer to a blueprint for a real life house that I wanna build?? Cause if so then it will make it a whole lot easier on me since I'm awesome at building houses in Minecraft.

Pool builder here, go automated. Being able to control everything from your phone is so nice.
Just purchased my equipment and bit the bullet! Thanks for the tip!

Bro I just want to thank you because I haven’t found a pool build video this detailed ever. I am an official subscriber to your channel.
Love these videos, as someone who just wants to know more about what goes into building a house, these are awesome! Keep em comin!
Tuning in from San Antonio TX. Love your content, my guy. Especially the cost breakdown!!!! I speak for us all, THANK YOU FOR THE VALUABLE INSIGHT!!!
Watching ur channel got me hype. Taking notes so when it’s my time to build 😊

Beautiful Project Lucas. I am inspired. God Bless.
Hitting 100k soon

Great Job. Will you be able to know which subcontractors you used for the pool? Thanks
As a Florida pool owner who does his own maintenance. A timer is sufficient, there is a daily schedule so there's no need for remote access.
I appreciate that feedback!
I'm very impressed with your drive and fast learning curve, love the home your building and keep up the good work.

When’s episode 2 coming out?

I’m looking to build my pool soon. Great job so far!

Good job very nice pool design. What’s the length and width of that pool?
Dope! How did you learn to do all of this… very inspiring
I just go for it on everything and learn along the way. Thanks for watching!
What a promising young man you are! Keep it up.
Great content, congrats from NW Houston. What kind of equipment do you use for your TH-cam setup??
Can't wait to see the full house complete
What does "Rtns" mean in the Pool Ppecs section 7:52 ?
I watched my neighbors build a gunite pool from my deck and it took about 5 months. There were several weeks where absolutely no work was being done.
Hey Case, how much longer till the house is ready? Will it be finished in july?
Hopefully in about 2 weeks!
@CaseLucasRobinson hell yeah, that's awesome. I'm getting my land clearing this Monday to get my build started.
Ive been wanting to do this with our new build. Who did you use for a pool design company where you stated you paid $300-500??
Who did you go with? Hayward, Pentair, Jandy?

Looks good
Hey Case - Great Video- Keep up the good work! db
New sub, I want to come along on this journey…
I’m assuming you subcontracted everything out and did not go through a pool builder.
Hey Case. We just purchased a lot in Austin area. Want to be my GC? :)
You should probably change the video title to designing my own pool. Not really considered building it when you contract out the entire job.
bro it’s not that deep.
I have pool fast is not always better. A leak is the worst thing you want being fast. just my humble opinion.

Just remember it wont be as deep as you think as you were standing on dirt not on the finished level
definitely do the automation....ur spending a lot of $ here and will regret if not
If you fail to plan you plan to fail
I am first
