Tower Cranes First Stage Sheffield Forgemasters

Over two days last week the first of two WOLFF 355 B Luffing Jib Cranes was set up at our Sheffield Forgemasters’ Brightside Lane site. The second WOLFF 355 B will be on site in the middle of 2025, and both will be working until early 2026.
The two tower cranes, ordered by VINCI Building UK, are driven by all electric motors - in line with VINCI Building UK's ambitions to provide zero emission electricity to complement the carbon reduction roadmap and journey. Here, Andrew Whaley, project director on site, explains how important the cranes are for the Sheffield Forgemasters project.
