🤭I was so excited when you said you have a Pisces moon, since I saw in another video that you’re a Capricorn. Im a Capricorn with Pisces moon too 🫶🏻 I just love how you say tarot can be grounding…. That’s really how I feel about it too! It has been very grounding for me.
I did a reading today that pulled a lot of the "scary" cards and was able to remind myself that the querent was doing a lot of shadow work and so took that approach. It was surprisingly enriching to the experience. I managed to notice that I pulled every nine in the deck including the Hermit. So, I could confidently say that they are coming to the finish line in all realms of their reading and even tied it back to the ten of disks and the new beginnings in material wealth being ushered in by the Hermit and the Chariot. For me, that bit about the cards being a grounding, organizing principle for the reading is spot on. I can't thank you enough for your teaching method, Joe. I felt confident today even before the reading rather than dueling my self-doubt. That is a first and a marker of the growth I've had while taking your courses. Bravo! ...to both of us! Your channel is THE BEST tarot channel I came across because you really know so much, you know the Metaphysical stuff and connect it all together (which is what tarot really is). A loooot of tarot channels out there teaches only the "tarot by the book" which is OK but... one doesn't want to be an ok reader, do they? I agree with what you said , at first as a beginner it’s ok to memorize the meaning of the cards and when you feel that you became good it’s better to learn the astrology , colors , symbols and also using intuition will be much better . One time I bought this card that has it meaning written to it , I used and I became confused because I try to look at the meaning and use during my whole reading and my intuition became powerless , so I stopped using it and use normal tarot cards without meaning showing because I don’t want to depend on the cards without using my feelings and intuition. Thank you 🙏

I love this, been doing tarot readings largely through my initial learning and intuition for almost 30 years. I do not have this tarot deck and it uses much more abstract ideas in the illustrations. Some are completely different. I love these cards, they are small and easy for me to shuffle. i would hate to give them up. But should I deeper dive into it with these very cards you're using?
I have a question. When doing a reading for yourself do you often dwell on a thought whilst shuffling the cards? then say a card jumps out in that moment do you interpret that card as the message? or do often ask your question out loud? Does it matter?
It's all up to you. There are certain methods and orders of business that facilitate the reading process. I would have to work with you in real time though to get you doing it hands on so you can see what works and what doesn't.
The thing you said about the highest spiritual peaks being nothing but god. It made me think “well if we even want to call it that” because we could call that a lot of things, and not all of them are synonymous with a god. Like we could call it Crowley’s True or Ultimate Will, we could call it the first idea, whatever. Either way, if we’re going by Hermetic ideas it would be whatever is the closest one could get to the initial thing without completely destroying themselves Icarus-style Point is if someone doesn’t want to acknowledge the thing as god for one reason or another it’s just a framing thing because at that level things are so abstract that god might even be misleading. We tend to think of that as something personified, which this concept is not.
It depends. If you study yourself, it can take a while to get really good. If you have a good mentor, you can start getting great results in a matter of months. I was self-taught for a long time. After I found my mentor, everything changed. Also, reading tarot isn't the challenging part. The part that most people struggle with is learning the tools to provide transformative readings that go beyond fortunetelling and superstition.
