Holy shit these lessons are legitimately everything I’ve been looking for! I’d consider myself an intermediate guitarist who has been trying to grasp jazz guitar/fusion for a LONG time. These make it make so much more sense to me!
Great lesson! Your opening statement (re: chromaticism:jazz = bending:blues) finally switched on my light. And breaking down how/why enclosures work is the best I've seen. Thanks Marbin, can't wait to work on this.
this is absolutely incredible, anyone who wants to get out of improvising in the boxes and pentatonics should absolutely learn these concepts, even if they're not jazz musicians and just want different textures
Great explanation, it's been a couple of times when I finally found something in your lessons I didn't know I was looking for... Great stuff if you're self-taught and trying to find out certain sounds... Particularly loved your content on outside playing also... Many thanks!
Iv'e seen many videos on enclosures and this is the best. Pair this with some pivot arpeggios and a barry harris chromatic scale run here and there and youll be sounding jazzy in no time.
@@marbinmusic Nice lesson. What if enclosures were used on a non-swinging metal solo. What would it sound like? I don't play metal so I would not be good at testing that but am curious about this in a different context with a rock or metal drum beat behind it
Dude!.. I'm having a hard time finding the words to convey just how totally awesome this lesson was. This is the lesson that finally got need to understand something I've been hearing, and wanting to understand for years and years.
As a white baby, I dream of the day when I’m sophisticated enough to be an older black man.. until then, I’ll keep watching marbin!
Who’s G** D**n white baby is that?!
Called practice.. bud. Nothing with skin
What a cuck

Joined the patreon paid subscription, it’s deep. Worth it. Thanks- you’re providing some structure and coherence to things I’ve merely intuited.

Superb! You stand out both in musicality and generosity. Infinite blessings bro 🙏🏼
Much appreciated. Thanks for checking out the lesson
Was just dipping my toes into enclosures and more chromaticism. This is the perfect clear beginners guide for all that stuff wow.
This is a fantastic lesson….or lessons since you could literally spend hours on each individual concept here!
It all takes time. Thanks for checking it out!

Great stuff! Thanks!!
So glad you dig it
@@marbinmusic already did a fee rounds of approach notes and neighbor tones. Can't wait to apply it to progressions and substitutions!

Watching this on the bus to work and I've got a chronic case of "wish my guitar was here" 😂 great stuff mate
You gotta start bringing your guitar and blast your amp on the bus. It's the only way to learn
@@marbinmusic haha yeah I used to practice classical stuff on the train , got thrown a few coins for it too
That’s what i want to know.
What an excellent coincidence
Sick!
