I was only 8 years old when this song came out. I remember hearing it for the first time 4 years later when I was 12 years old. My family was traveling on vacation from our home in Peoria, IL to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. A family friend of my parents brought along an 8-track tape of ABBA's Greatest Hits. Dancing Queen was the first track on the tape. It was my first time hearing the song, and I remember that it was not like anything I had heard before. So unique. Then one song after another on the tape just caught all of us by surprise. We were hooked! To this day I still remember that experience every time I hear ABBA being played. :-) One of those groups that stands up to the test of time.

I just watched your Forestella reaction last night and tonight I clicked for ABBA, they were awesome, my mother was So sick of hearing me singing ABBA music loudly with my radio next to my head. Please don’t call them “Oldies “ 😂😂😂, I am trying to convince myself that I don’t fall into that category, love to all and Thank you for sharing ❤.

in fact, Their recopilation album ABBA Gold from 1992 is Their best selling álbum, and one of most selling álbums in history, and still in the charts

According to what a journalist concluded in recent article in Variety mag ABBA has a solid 'pan-generational fan base".So don't mind it @janetlawson.Abba's music is for any age anytime anyplace anywhere.It's Evergreen, invaluable and doesn't get 'old'.
