@Squeex if you enjoyed old school multi-player shooters you NEED to try republic commandos online modes. Sadly they took down official server support but you might be able to host a community server or something.
Watching Squeex say Jedi Academy was just as good as he remembered validated my entire childhood. While I loved Fallen Order, Outcast and Academy are some of the best Star Wars games ever made.
I played Battlefront both 1 and 2 a LOT as a kid, and 1 does have some things I like better about it. Certain classes not having to be unlocked each match is nice and there are some maps that are so damn good.
As a person who has spent more hours playing the new BF2 than every other hame combined, thank you for not jumping on the hate train- it’s such a solid game, with good mechanics, but because people had nostalgia for the (better) original, they disliked the modern one. Also nice to know that you enjoy Star Wars/Star Wars games as much as I do! Hope you keep squeexing your shit until the day you die

I'll say it, Battlefront 1 classic is pretty decent, there's some really cool maps but it definitely shows its age. Battlefront 1 the new one is from my experience some of the best gameplay I had played in a long time, I felt so good playing that game. The Beta and launch was kind of rough but all the updates, even if you didn't buy the dlcs were so good. I at least never bought any of them and still had a really good time with my bacta grenades and jetpack going on crazy killing sprees.
jedi knight academy was kinda cool when it first came out. cooler when u added the KOTF mod made by a military dude. made lightsabers realistic and even added some movie parts u also could at the very start have dual sabers or a staff saber. instead of halfway trough.
I’m a bit sad Squeex didn’t play Kotor, the greatest game to ever release for star wars. I understand not adding Kotor 2 and Swtor, since the moment it can be experienced at it’s ultimate value is delayed, however I would have loved to see Squeex try Kotor.

Jedi Outcast is a genuine banger, more atmosphere than Jedi Academy in my opinion (and PvP multiplayer was also better in my opinion. The combat is less bloated but still nuanced

First off I was a hollywood video kid Second off I beat republic commando too many times on console and pc, and lowkey it was more like a horror game than halo or something and more importantly, the multiplayer!?? Some kids played halo, some played Counterstrike:boomer or quake, but republic commando was my halo. The multiplayer was actually so much fun on pc jedi academy multiplayer with mods (well, moviebattles 2 "mod" specifically) is to this day actually really good, I havent played in a while but im sure theres still a populated server or two most of the time. The base multiplayer was fun but a bit rng and looked pretty silly, moviebattles is like a cross between mordhau/mount & blade and counterstrike/ow. But you know, in star wars. Super high skill ceiling, dedicated ancient community of turbo vir-nerds, really good melee combat that actually looks like a lightsaber fight instead of jumping around, good gunplay mechanics and actually pretty good balance between blasters and lightsabers unlike base game where you know you're just going to always use a lightsaber lets be real I legit have 1000 hours in moviebattles2 and Im still like mid lmao
