I’m definitely going with this one. I need metal. The sun in my backyard turns plastic to peanut brittle within 2 years. All of my other feeders are metal & glass. And by the way, you’re not really “hiding” your location. 👍🏻✌🏻
Hello Susan, I just came up from the garden and YES some have sprouted! My garden update comes out Sunday so I’m excited to share the news there. Thanks so much.
Hi Larry, as a man who knows his bird feeders... If like to ask if you still recommend this one? I love the design of it being metal but I'm not sure how good the app will be. Wondering if it works OK and since you've compared so many, how you think this one stacks up in comparison. Looking to order one in the next day or two so I can get a black Friday deal. Thanks so much in advance and love your videos.
It's been a very reliable feeder/camera. The app works fine. My best recommendation would be the Camojojo Hibird. It's the only camera I know of that takes 4K pictures. The support is fantastic. The Mr Bird feature is a lot of fun. I haven't priced checked the differences in a while but you can't go wrong with either one. Happy birding, Larry
The strength it from your modem, not your tablet. Medium is actually a pretty good single. You should be able to view it on your tablet from anywhere in the world. Hope this helps
@@LSatch Modem ? I know what that is but how would a radio signal enter my modem ? I dont have wifi running in my house at all. I thought a wifi signal runs from the bird camera to a smartphone or tablet. I dont want to or have to pay for a monthly fee so I can watch birds when Im in another state or country, just want to watch them from inside my house on a tablet. thank you.
@@kippercat123 maybe I have it wrong. Have you talked to their support team? I don’t work for this company, they just gave me the feeder to review. I’m not sure how you set the camera up without going through WiFi in your house. Sorry
You’re right, definitely well built and easy set up. Amazingly enough, the drill is still working. I took the battery off and laid it on my seedling heat mat over night and it fired right up the next morning. It’s been a great tool. I’ve had it 10-12 years and it came with a free pair of work boots. I wore the boots out years ago but the driver is still going strong.
@@LSatchI found this very helpful. This is all new to me and I appreciate the information and help from a cheerful perspective. My feeder arrives this coming week.
Two of us couldn't make any progress using the included materials, so this video was a lifesaver. Thanks so much!
You made my day! Glad it helped, happy birding and happy new year
My bird feeder came with no instructions at all, so this video was a lifesaver. Thank you so much!
You’re welcome. You have chosen wisely, I think it is one of the best on the market. Thanks for sharing
Very helpful! Thanks for uploading!
You’re welcome, thanks for the feedback
0:42 Young man, you needed to whip out your pocket knife. Thanks for another informative video.

Great video, Larry. Did your persimmons seed ever sprout? I hope so. If not, let me know and I'll send you a few more.

I agree with the posts below. The included instructions were useless. Thankful for You Tube.

Thank you for watching 🙏
What drills/screws do you recommend to drill it to a tree. The ones that came with it got stripped. 😕
I don’t recommend putting it on a tree but if you do, I’d use 2-21/2” deck screws. If they strip out pre drill with a 1/8” bit.
medium strenght wifi signal when your tablet was within 2 feet of the camera ?? Is there something I dont understand ?

On a personal note, would it be cheaper to build these types of feeders and use wireless security cameras and a 1tb DVR
Yes it would. I have another video coming out soon that uses just a camera. BTW,
the companies have been sending me these feeders for review.
This one looks more robustly built, but it could just be the garden green color they chose.
I hope the drill is okay.😊

A very weak video and should not be considered an instructional video by any stretch.
Sorry you’re disappointed. Thanks for sharing
