Lee MinKi is a treasure I only recently discovered and I'm having such an excellent time with his works. He seems very shy in this type of setting and I loved how Park Sungwoong was a bit protective of him.

Lee min ki is honestly my favourite korean actor (along with hyunbin) I've watched every single movie and drama he has been in but I have to admit the guy is so dry in interviews ㅠㅠ I want to hear him talk more sighs but he's always so quiet and kinda dull :(

I know what you mean!! I love all his works as well! But maybe this is why he barely goes on shows, since he isn't talkative. OR he should go on more shows to open up more? Lol but yea I know what you mean >.< his characters are very different than himself lol.
The thing about variety shows is that you have to over react and its tiring to have high energy for a shoot that goes on for hours, especially after you've finished your own shoot. Further more, variety shows necessitate putting on a facade--but he's already a actor, why should he be on his toes even for a side show? I understand why he's subdued. Besides, he's a celebrity that is constantly hounded by others, he shouldn't need to exert himself beyond his role of actor
I want to recommend you to watch the old Xman. Look for X-man Pattaya special, or any footage of him in X-man. He was really cute and funny there. :)

XD That's so funny now, but scary. I really like Minki's definition of a manly man. That's what makes woman stay, not one who orders another around or a "bad" guy.

Of course they have confused "Manly man" with controlling, insecure asshole behavior. And *women* do not like a men who treat them like shit...*girls* do.
The dishes were nothing special, but Dongmin's looked pretty good. Similar to egg rolls.
I don't think they meant it for all of the guys on this episode be "controlling" manly men. Jang Dongmin was the only one that stood out to me to be a bit of an asshole from how he treated women (but it could be just for laughs). As to Park Sungwoong he just sounded jealous of the other actor being so friendly with his wife which is pretty usual for a husband and wife.
For the dishes I feel like they were all pretty good looking (I don't know how it tastes so I wouldn't comment on that).

I mean he did say something like "I know women won't like this, but I said because I'm a man." I also feel like it's in the culture too, (I'm sure there are bunch of great nice korean guys out there) but I mainly see controlling kinds in the media that I see from the outside perspective. But then again there's a misunderstanding in general that people think that ALL girls like bad boy type of men rather than the nice kind (which obviously isn't true, only few girls like bad boy types for some unknown reasons).

Yeah, I have seen so many men make this comment. Also, it has to do with their culture's habit of putting the male child on a pedestal, but treating the female child like she is not good enough and lacking because she is female.
Korean women have gone along with this for so many years that it seems that it can't be changed. They need to wake up and see that they are the ones that fuel their country's economy and they could make changes if they came together. It wouldn't be easy and it would take some time, but it can happen.
I was talking to someone once about some girls attraction to bad boys. And she said it stems from their fathers. Whether he is in her life or not. If he is there, she tends to date those types when she is young as a form of rebellion to her father's rules. And girls without fathers, tend to date those types because they are susceptible to any type of man that comes into their lives. I think there is some truth to it and the media doesn't help. They love to make those type seems "desirable". Most women eventually grow out of that phase.
there is some type of controlling behavior in korean men in their relationship but at the same time they also keep in mind the responsibilities they have as a man and a "father." but does not take the control away from korean women. korean women are actually pretty strong as well and have control over their men too. ive grew up with a lot of koreans and seen this in parents. ive seen equal amount of control and respect from the men and women, ultimately the man does get overall control as it is a patriarchal culture. In america, the controlling behavior in men over women is worse than korea. and ive seen it get to the point where men want to be controlling but at the same time dont want to be responsible. they end up leaving their children and abandoning their family and not supporting them. i know waaaay too many people who grew up with a single mother and it is a huge problem in america.
