Thank you very much for the update. I started getting the J-Tull box sets two years ago, first with Stormwatch then working my way one new release at a time. That means I missed the boat on a good chunk of the ‘70’s albums box sets. I already bought the TAAB boxset when it was re-released earlier this year. As for Songs From The Wood, I found it at an used CD store over here in Montreal about a month ago. Cost me a bit more, if only I knew it was to be re-released at the time, but the copy is in mint condition, so that’s that. On the other hand, I purchased immediately the Aqualung and Minstrel boxsets on Amazon. I was hoping that the TAAB boxset re-release would make way for more boxsets to be available in the future, so you can say I was jumping with joy when I saw your post. I’m looking forward for more boxsets re-release announcements. Meanwhile, I got nine of these beautiful J-Tull boxsets, so far.

However, great news on the reprints, bring on the others and a big Christmas 'ho ho ho' to the online money grabbers asking hundreds for these, yes!!!!
Indeed, EMP UK had Aqualung and Minstrel on their site about a month ago for £47.99 each and did order them in hope - I waited a month, had a couple of pleasant email conversations with the nice people at EMP who were genuinely waiting for them to come into stock, but in the end they gave me a refund (and without question).

I was excited and stunned that this is an artist that I never heard of from the 70s it is so cool to enjoy music that I may have passed by over 50 years ago just by looking over your shoulder fantastic videos my friend thank you so much and the album and the band are excellent. Nektar are an amazing band, I got into them about 45 years ago when a school friend of mine bought in some Nektar albums to play in our "common room" at school and, as a fan of Yes and Hawkwind at the time, I was hooked. All of the Nektar 1970's albums are extremely good, my personal favourite is "A Tab In The Ocean" and I had tears of joy in my eyes when I saw them at the reunion concert in London in 2004 when they came on stage and the opening keyboard section of "Tab" began. Unfortunately the world lost Roye Albrighton as the band's front man a few years ago, as well as drummer Ron Howden more recently, but I consider myself an extremely lucky man to have seen them several times in London in the interim years. If you are into that "space rock" kind of sound then I can also recommend "Eloy" who are essentially Germany's answer to Pink Floyd (all their lyrics are in English) and I'd recommend looking up their albums "Ocean", "Dawn", "Silent Cries & Mighty Echoes" or "Colours" as the best of their catalogue - though they've done a lot more albums and are still technically together having released the album "Echoes Of The Past" earlier this year. Hawkwind, Nektar, Eloy, Ozric Tentacles, Litmus, Nemrud and Villagers of Ioannina City are all great bands that sit in that "space rock" genre alongside Pink Floyd.

I was about to order them from Amazon at "okay" prices, then you mentioned "Burning Shed" and I got all three, with postage, for £8 cheaper than on Amazon. I need to double check which JT Deluxe Editions are out now, I think I have 9 of them with these three. Hopefully they'll do the same with the earlier Marillion and Black Sabbath ones too.

So many thanks for this information! I so nearly paid over £150.00 for a secondhand Songs From the Wood box set on eBay! I received my repress copy yesterday and I am amazed that it is absolutely identical to the original, almost as if it was left over stock. There is nothing written on it to suggest that it was repressed in 2023. This has pleased me greatly as I always regretted not buying the box set when it came out in 2017. I do though feel sorry for all the people who have paid hundreds of pounds for these thinking that they would never be issued again. And to finish.....I love watching your channel and think you're really cool!

Then - as you say, out of the blue I notice these sets all of a sudden come available. I ordered two of them immediately - about 10 days ago, although it wont be till the new year until I get them. I am still missing "Warchild" - I'll keep my eyes open for a reprint lol, you just never know eh. Unfortunately I think these scalpers are buying these reprints up in bulk and away we go again !! I've just picked up the five cassette '20 Years of Jethro Tull: The Definitive Collection' for a steal. Are you, Phil, or anyone reading, aware of any online reference or database that confirms whether all of this material has since been issued across the anniversary sets? I know not all of the early noughties CD reissue bonus tracks made it to the corresponding box sets, so I'd love to think that some of this stuff exists only on these cassettes!
